There’s a reason this is the best gaming podcast. Even when there’s an issue with the audio or stream it gets corrected within a few minutes. Nice to see the stache of knowledge back aka Sam. Nicely job for another week of scoop!
That will return if they ever go back to the office full time. They’ve got the new studio ready and waiting. It’s funny because I hated the remote podcasts when Covid first hit, but now I’ve grown used to it and don’t know if it would matter to me if they went back to in person. Hard to say. 👍👍
Everything I do is either a Simpsons or Seinfeld reference. Incredible how well both shows hold up to today. That’s it! You people have stood in my way long enough. I’m going to clown college!
I binged the Ms Marvel show and loved it, has read the comics of hers for a lil bit and it definitely hit the right notes for me. Strange was a difficult watch and I'm not sure I liked it overall what with the treatment of certain characters and their story. Eternals was...fine.. My major issue is everything ends with a hint of this all tying together but no actual sense of it doing so...I think we need a avenger film to draw the disparate new elements together
It's always funny to look into the eyes of the 20 questions vets while rookies struggle. They're nice about it but you can just taste the "I been doing this shit every week for like 5 years just trust me you're way off base here"
I’m excited to hear Sam’s thoughts on Thor. I actually ended up really enjoying it - and Sweet Child O Mine has been stuck in my head since! Speaking of great songs, thanks for the treat at the end of the podcast episode Daemon!
Love the movie and like the song choices for the different scenes. But I still think ACDC Hells Bells with Thor killing demons was more epic intro then Sweet Child O Mine but Love and Thunder intro was one of the funniest marvel superheroe action intro scene I've seen.
That it was! I was feeling nostalgic and replayed about half of it a month ago. War in the North was an action RPG with a co-op focus. Gameplay was pretty solid for the time, story and voice acting less so.
Please please please make sure the guests have adequate mics/suppression software. Hard to hear the content over the echo or the click clack of that keyboard!
The Lord of the Rings turn based RPG your thinking of is called The Third Age where you play as a company of different Heroes and races following the fellowship until you randomly end up fighting the eye of Sauron as the final boss. That's the one that uses the same or a similar battle system to final Fantasy 10
I played Lotr War in the North, and it was Nothing like you Described. It was a pick your class Third Person acton adventure game where you had a party of 3 characters.
The brightside to Lego Dimensions over other toy-based video games (for me) is that I LOVE minifigs. So it was half a waste of my money and half a collection of awesome mini-figs I have now. Like BA Baracus, Finn the Human, Stay Puft, etc.
I know in my city Ren-Fair had an insane turnout in 2021 because the pandemic had just eased up and people couldn't wait to go out and do something, and the enormous crowd made the fair not so enjoyable - wonder if something like this can happen to Comic Con? On the one hand, you know that people who missed out on it for 2 years will now be piling into it, but on the other hand, as far as a I know Comic Con sells out every year anyway, so it really won't make a difference for people attending and only make a difference for people trying to buy tickets probably... Or I just don't know what I'm talking about and should stop speculating :P
I've attended Oz Comic-con, and I'm sure it pales in comparison to SDCC but nonetheless it's pretty much gotten back to what it was pre pandemic - I find people have gotten eager to attend events and flock to things. The mention of Qore got me thinking of the different exclusive programming to PSN & XBLA and how it's completely gone now - I'd guess it wasn't viable to make exclusive shows for either
No love for Moon Knight eh? I thought it was a great stand-alone Marvel story, and that comes from someone completely burned out by Marvel content. Oscar Isaac alone makes it worth your time. You should also watch The Orville if you like Star Trek, Season 3 currently on Hulu is amazing!
The irony of Justin saying that Maisie Williams should be in a failed Marvel movie is great! She was in "New Mutants" so she wasnt just in a failed Marvel movie, she was in a failed and forgetable Marvel movie.
Some of you guys obviously have comic book movie fatigue but as a life long comic book fan I still eat it all up. I'm never going to tire of watching them until they all start to suck which none of the MCU stuff has been for me so far. I think they range from good to great IMO.
I’m excited for more new content, especially X-Men and Fantastic 4. Obviously it’s not new to the cinema, but new to the MCU. They’re such a huge part of the comic world and would love to see them interact with existing characters. I’m a little fatigued right now so I’m hoping that some of the new characters will breathe life in to the franchise. Also the next Avengers/ big team up film will probably also bring excitement back and hopefully bring another final goal in focus for us to work towards. 👍👍
No, no no. LOTR War In The North was great. It's just like The Force Uleashed, but with co-op and more weapon types. It's a linear story always with 3 characters who u choose from and the others are cpu help. I had a great time with it with friends.
So funny that Justin can’t even say Colin’s name like he’s some blacklisted member of IGN. Literally can see him cut himself off to say Playstation team.
What people have to realize is The MCU will never be what it was without the original avengers. It will never have the feel it once had because you don’t have Ironman and Cap running around.
They always conveniently forget when big companies f#£k the fans over. There is a classic Max clip of him saying the fans expect to much when star wars battle front 2 came out. That has aged like milk and is now seen as the worst game for microtransations in history. They are all hacks.
I am disturbed that Daemon is on the left, and they decided to mix the sound so that he can be heard primarily on the right speaker, total unbalanced also.
Agreed about TMNT I can't play games like that and if I donirs not for long... imo that game is criminally overhyped and overrated and the hype is finally dying down.
I re watched all the MCU movies this year and it stands out how much the earlier films worked on their own. We all knew Thanos and infinity war were coming but each movie was still pretty much standalone in continuing its own story. Phase 4 has been all over the place and each movie suffers from continuing too many threads like Multiverse of Madness. I don't think many people watching know what Secrete Wars or who Kang is and Marvel hasn't made it clear thats where its going.
Totally agree about The Boys - nothing has really changed in the overall dynamics. The end of season 3 felt like a very safe decision to line up more of the same kind of conflict between the characters in the next season. It really undermines the tension if you think they’re not willing to kill anyone off or move things forward significantly.
The actor that played Aria Stark was in failed Marvel movie. She stared in “The New Mutants”. The “Eternals” was worse though. That movie was terrible. Poor John Snow…

I've just completed Elden Ring and it's the best game I've played this year, followed by Tunic
I think I agree exactly. Elden Ring #1 and Tunic #2 for me.
Movies I saw this year: Belle (anime), The Batman, Spider-Man, Top Gun, Bobs Burgers, Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko (anime). All quite good.
Scoop! I miss the old set with the individual lil rounded chairs. It was like the View but for games.
That will return if they ever go back to the office full time. They’ve got the new studio ready and waiting. It’s funny because I hated the remote podcasts when Covid first hit, but now I’ve grown used to it and don’t know if it would matter to me if they went back to in person. Hard to say. 👍👍
I love knowing other people make random Simpsons references like I do. I said, “which was the style at the time” at the same time as Daemon.
