Thanks a lot for this video. I was searching over the internet why there is about 50% data missing on GA4 as compared to UA. I created questions across the community as well. Finally, I landed on this video and get the answer. It was exactly due to Reporting Identity. I had "Blended" enabled and when changed to "Device-based" then it worked correctly.
Thank you for this content. I have been searching the web on how to fix this error (some traffic referral data not showing). You're amazing! Keep it up.
Hi Julius, we are at a 20% loss of data even though I've had 2 agencies "look" in the problem. Do you consider 20% to be the new norm even if everything is set up properly?
Hi Julius, after creating an event and marking it as a conversion, I have received more than one hit on the same event. I even received a filled form through email but have two conversions. I think people are moving on but then returning to the thank you URL. Is there such thing as a parameter for unique users? Right now its: event_name equals page_view then page_view contains thank-you. Thank you!
If you're using GTM, you could use the previous page (where your form is) to your thank-you page as a condition in your trigger. Use the {{referrer}} variable. That way only that sequence will be counted as conversion. If they come back to thank-you page it won't work, unless they fill the form again to be counted as a conversion.
Hello Julius, another amazing video, thanks a lot! I have everything set in GA4 for ecommerce, but the issue is that I can't see no data in "ecommerce purchases" report. I've got info in "monetization overview" (I can see ecommerce revenue, total revenue etc.) and I check on debug mode, and every parameters are ok, like currency, value, and transaction id... I don't understand why I can't see data on "ecommerce purchases" report.
Great tips Julius, one issue I am trying to iron out on a site with a lot of click tracking that changes page is reducing the data loss caused by GA4s delay in sending hits to enable hit batching
I see custom metric counts not aligning to GA4 event counts even though I am sending it at the same time I send my GA4 event within the same GTM GA4 tag!! it's weird
Hi Julius - Would you know how to stop a hotels booking engine from getting all conversion credit inside GA4? I am running google ads but all the conversions are being given to their booking engine making it look as if ads is not bringing in the revenue. inside google ads conversions are being tracked but inside ga4 conversions are being given to the booking engine.
Hi Julius, thanks for making the video. I got a problem. I have more than 5 websites. One site can not view recent 24 hours data in GA 4. The real-time report is working. But if I swicth to acqusition report, there has little data available. I have to wait for a day after and then I can the full data in acqusition report. But the other four websites is Ok. I can see the recent 24 hours data. I dont know why? Do you have any clue? Thanks in advance if you can help
Hi Julius, thanks for the video, super helpful! I have had an issue seeing traffic from google / cpc in GA4 however tracking still works correctly in my GA3 set up. Have you come across this issue before? For some context Google Signals are turned on, seeing a small amount of the google / cpc traffic but with a huge discrepancy in comparison to GA3. Thanks in advance if you can help!
Hi, thanks for the video. I have another question. I see a lot of (not set) data in my custom GA4 Reports, when it comes to event data. Is there any reason why this could be?
@@AnalyticsMania Hello, thanks for amazing videos. May you make a video about why (not set) values is occuring in in GA4 ? Like top 10 cases or something.
@@huseyintunc1695 (not set) happens a lot for custom events that haven’t had the 24-48 hours to load into GA4. Try waiting that time and adjust the date range to get the latest data and possibly exclude the data that was setup probably a week ago for example

Hey Julius, thank you - switching to 'Device based' solved my issue of not being able to see several metrics. Subscribed!

Great tips. Thanks Julius

Difficult to tell without auditing the setup
