    What do you think of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class? We’d love to know what you think!

      Looks good on the outside and is gorgeous on the inside. For me, the biggest change are Sirish's comments on ride quality, engine and gearbox combo performance. The earlier 7 speed GB seemed sluggish ( atleast in the E200) and they seemed to have got this right. Curious to know how the 1.5 litre turbo petrol is, to drive. And of course, it will come down to pricing .

      @@Theuninviteddisruptor Have you driven the car and assessed it? I think at least give us the onus of putting forward our views after having driven it rather than just make an off the cuff comment. - Adil Jal Darukhanawala

      @@Theuninviteddisruptor any car seeing a rough usage is bound to rattle and squeak regardless of the brand it is from.
      It's a C- Class and things should be taken from that perspective. Of course for someone daily driven in an S-Class would find C-Class' interior plebian. But that doesn't warrants bashing Evo India for their views. They are bang on point about the car and its attributes.
      Tell me any luxury car (on sale in India) in its segment that can hold a candle against C-Class when it comes to luxury and feature list. Plus you missed one more tiny detail here, the C-Class has been updated as per global standards the same cabin design and layout is on the ones in U.S. (2022 model year). That's saying something for the brand which back in the days used to bring end of cycle models in India.
      Doing this they ceded the number 1 spot to BMW but they learnt their lesson and now are back at number 1. And if they manage to price new C-Class sensibily then they have a winner at their hands.
      Finally Sir, criticism for the sake of criticism should be avoided especially against the channel that has so far maintained a neutral stand when it comes to car reviews.

      Making Indians fool. Such cars are less than 22L in USA, lol. Better buy a Maruti breeza for India. We have the worst roads.

    Only channel with the c220d🔥 easily going to be the highest seller, can't understand why the other channels had other variants

    Man, IMO, 1.5 liter engines are just a big no-no, especially at this price point. Will be very interesting to see its pricing, and how it stacks up against the 3 and 3 LWB

    • @soumenb22
      @soumenb22 2 года назад +1

      Agree at this price or higher budget BMW 340i. More than 300 BHP and 500 NM is desired

    • @karankarayi
      @karankarayi 2 года назад +1

      @@soumenb22 the 340i definitely comes into the discussion, but even the 330i is no slouch. Should blow these Merc petrol engines out of the water performance wise, but lose a little in terms of mileage. Fair trade-off

    • @the90s.spirit
      @the90s.spirit 2 года назад +2

      Displacement is not the answer to performance and comfort. Ask Koenigsegg who put a 2 litre engine into a hypercar costing millions! As long as the power delivery and refinement is good the ones buying it have no issues

    • @karankarayi
      @karankarayi 2 года назад +2

      @@the90s.spiritto each his own. In my opinion, luxury is not just refinement, but power on tap, lurking below the surface. Mercedes has a 2.0 liter turbo petrol internationally for exactly that. They simply didn’t want to bring it here for whatever reasons (cost, I guess). On the face of it, this engine is merely adequate for the class. BMW, Audi, Jaguar…none of them are offering or offered 1.5 liter engines in this class (at least here).
      And the Koenigsegg argument holds no water on two grounds; one, it’s not a mainstream engine. It’s built for hyper car performance, and that tech is simply not accessible to the masses. Second, for every example like that which debunks displacement as a key parameter, multiple examples of large displacement engines abound. That Koenigsegg engine is niche. It might be the future, but it’s not representative of the present. It’s a massive outlier.
      No one (that I know of) is complaining about a 2.0 engine in the A45s, and saying give us more. That’s because it has some punch, and then much more. I’m not saying that’s the tune they should have got the C class in, but it should have had a 2.0 liter engine putting out about 250 BHP as an option. And I will cling onto that conviction with bleeding fingernails. Peace out.

      360 cameras are now becoming standard in non luxury brands. Also ADAS. Mercedes India product planners need to get out of old fashioned thinking. The move to EV will bring further challenges in terms of visual / radar / software features.
