Naturally 7 was in my home town 2006 during the soccer world cup in Germany, performing on stage between two matches. It was the first time I realized, "acapella" doesn't mean "sounds like Comedian Harmonists", but you can produce edm-like drums and bass sounds with your mouth/body. I bought their CD back then, too - and so I could say, Naturally 7 opened the door for me to "modern acapella music". 🥰
If you did nothing but Voiceplay and Geoff reactions, I would be perfectly happy. It is so much fun watching you do these. So, so glad you are back, you know you had me worried....
They keep tackling these HUGE iconic songs and just kill them. I'm so glad they kept the 80's feel. That section from Cesar's clap to Geoff's bass drop was sheer perfection. They are really starting to push the limits of all their talents. Arrangements, vocals, set design, new techniques--it's what puts them at the top of a cappella in my opinion. It's getting to the point I can't pick any favorite part, but this time it's gotta be Cesar's sassy side eye. LOL
That part at the end where you like what Cesar sang? Fun fact: he's singing the "synth" part in the beginning too. (When the five first line up, watch his hands "dictating" the line for a bit.)
1980s Miami Vice vibe. J dressed like Crockett. Layne's dad's 1972 Pontiac. This was filmed at the loading dock behind the mall where PattyCake Productions is located.
How many of you have seen the Naturally 7 video before? 🤔

Awesome! they always give themselves some place to go in their arrangements then bring it right back.
So glad they did it in this video! Otherwise we would've been left wanting for more!

Ooh, you're right! I love that synth part at the beginning too, but I didn't know exactly how to describe it, LOL.

I loved it when Cesar and J were playing with the fans and when the group that stopped to watch asked who they were and Geoff said Pentatonix. LOL
LOL Miami Vice! That's a reference a lot of kids wouldn't get these days
