Saw him at MSG and it was an amazing show. I think his vocals have sounded the best in a while! This tour really feels as if he’s playing for you in your own living room as he said at MSG to everyone. This feels extremely personal and I’m here for all of it.
John's really got nothing to prove, but he's proving it anyway, the amazing musical artist and entertainer that he is and always will be. For sure this performance will be right at the top of his all time greatest. I love him! He is 'the greatest.' A Creative Genius, A Master, The Man and THE KING ❣💡🌟💎👑
Seeing this night one in Newark was incredible. Everybody's jaws collectively dropped when he started playing piano and guitar the same time. What an incredible moment!
As an european who can't enjoy THIS solo tour live, I confess that my envy level has reached the highest possible rate ever for a human being. I'd travel anywhere in Europe to see him performing like this. Piano parts always kill me😪 😍 but both instruments?! It just blow my mind 🤩 Thank you for sharing☺
@@rustyrobots426 I have the feeling this is going to be a quick tour and he'll focus on the new album when the tour is done... And, if I am not wrong, this year is his last tour with Dead and Company, isn't it?
Went to Boston and loved the looping in Changing. I must say the Assassin opener into the Shot in the Dark bridge was also a "wow!" moment even for someone like me that has been following John for around 15 years and seen a lot of surprises at shows. The fan reception to Drifting was also a big moment that had John chocked up a little before he went on to play Walt Grace.
Saw the show at Prudential on 3/11. It was 10/10. He only touched the prs once during the night. He also played a brand new song. It was worth the wait. I really can’t wait to see what’s next from JM.
“I Will Be Found” is another song that features JM’s piano chops. Loved the loop idea, although it lasted a little too long on the same cords- wish he could have changed it up a bit, but I know it would have ruined the flow. Loved the back and forth between guitar and piano there at the end of the song!
I think that Silver Sky Moc Sand is the same one with the Air Force Gray Cliplock. Paul Reed Smith mentioned in an interview that "John has a Silver Sky he just loves" and can't stop playing. Or maybe it is the Satin one polished 🤣
This reminds me of one of the shows I went to over 10 years ago at the Hollywood Bowl. He called Brad Mehldau the night before the show & asked if he wanted to play for a set & he flew him out just to do a couple songs that day. All that was on stage was a JM sig on a single 2*12 & they did bittersweet symphony, wind cries mary, Cant Find my Way Home, & something else I can’t remember at the moment. Definitely something ethereal about there being just a piano & a nearly isolated guitar lead that people don’t usually get to hear
I was at MSG and he definitely looped with the the double neck acoustic. Rhythm on 12 string and solo on 6 string. Friend of the devil I think. Wasn’t looking for pedals. Too busy singing along. :) great show either way.
?? Hey Justin :) what’s your fav compressor if you had to pick one? Just let go of my Wampler Mini ego and I loved it but wanna keep exploring…thoughts on the Pulp n Peel or the JHS Whitey Tighty??
I like a lot of JM’s stuff and he’s a killer player, but this piano / guitar thing didn’t hit the spot for me, all a bit clumsy compared to the usual polish.

This was literally stunning to watch. I have been looking for this to be captured on the RUclips videos. It makes me cry every time I see it!

Is it confirmed he's not bringing this tour to Europe? I was hoping we'd get an announcement for a world tour following this.

@@rustyrobots426 to sum up : I wanna cry 😩🤣 but we'll always have YT 😐
“Uk and Europe dates to be announced” on his twitter page
@@commandercurly3933 I know!!!!! 😱😱😱😱 I am already saving 😂😂😂 he heard us 😊
Just saw him last night in Detroit. Absolutely incredible. He really expanded on playing both at the same time at the end with each hand 🤯🤯🤯
covered in rain will be an interesting one to be looped on piano and soloed on guitar
I think one of the coolest parts about this is to hear the silver sky lead tone without having to compete in a band mix

I’m seeing him front row tomorrow night and I still don’t know how to process it. I am so excited I cannot believe it. 💕
last night in Toronto he broke his pedal rule - looped a riff on the 12 string on his double neck guitar, and then performed a solo on the 6 string!

hope we get to see this in Toronto on Monday !
I was at MSG - got a flight with my 15 year old son from Manchester, England. Worth every mile!
John is amazing, thank you for the video

hes basically doing a street performance in a arena for all the fans
I've seen footage of him doing "I Will Be Found" on piano Maybe that will show up with a loop and solo!
My Vibroverb pairs nicely with a 2x12 cabinet. I believe he’s using both!
Gonna see him in April for this tour!
im going to the Atlanta Solo

You are killing me with your comments
Sadly I cannot go see John this time around. I appreciate you sharing all of your great comments
Enjoy the show!
His first lick sounds like Clapton
I hope you make a video about all the guitars that he used!
I second that. The collection of Martins John has brought with him is pretty epic. They deserve their own video.
the Prudential Center one was something special to experience in person😢
Is there any merch for the solo tour? Didn’t see anything on his website
what amp do you think he's using with his acoustics guitars? Also do you think he's running his guitar through the pedal board?

🙂so cool ...and beautifull
What show are you going to Justin? I can't wait for Monday In T.O.
John frusciante video soon??
Dammit I am in the wrong country 😢
What song is this ?

GAY. Throw away that gross guitar and make a goal to play 1/4 the amount of notes.
We can always count on some really dumb comments from you Mat 👌🏻
