Really great and informative video. I've been wanting to see the menu layout. Looks like Ariel did a good job of it. I hope Ariel notices that it is Bigteedo_EV spreading the word on the new Kepler. So I just told em in email.
Awesome thanks for the support!
simple and to the point, thank you. Just bought a used one with the 2 batteries set up, been wanting this bike for a while. Thank you again
You are a natural teacher.
Thanks!
Good info ,for all us expecting Kepler owners!!
Cool thanks
Thanks for the info. I got my shipping tracking number yesterday.
No problem! Cool be sure to let me know how you like it 👍🏽
I am waiting on mine as well, got an email saying it has shipped...
Me also. It was supposed to arrive today but got rescheduled to July 12.
@@Jagonzalez2486 mine says the 12th on the Ariel page but when i click on the ups tracking number, ups says by the 14th.
@Bigteedo_EV Hey, I have found the app that they reference. It’s available on the PDF version of the Aerial Rider Kepler manual. The name of the app is BikeWise Pro and you use the QR code on the display to connect it to the app from within the BikeWise Pro app. Glad to see someone in the DMV area other than me with a Kepler. Oh one mor thing- It actually will update the firmware version on the Display.
Well done !!!
Ok received my Kepler today. I ordered the rear basket a few weeks ago when it was in stock. Not sure if I like the basket though. It will hold 2 normal size grocery bags. There are cheaper and larger racks available on Amazon and eBay. A nice set of panniers work for grocery or store runs and the center of gravity is lower.
So, I set my controller to 34 amps my kph to 99 and put 30 psi in the tires. I'm 220 lbs and can easily cruise at 32-35 mph. Max speed driving down a flat straight road was 37 and controller said I hit 40. I missed seeing the 40 mph on the speedo when I was driving. Battery was not even fully charged. It went straight out of the box, put it together and test drove it.
Nice thats Awesome! did your Kepler come with the turn signal / brake light set up?
Yes, and the bell. That Kepler is a monster in size up next to my Ride1Up 700.
Not sure yet what is available but they should offer some Street Fighter tires that are better for grip in rain or just cornering.....and some more motorcycle style Knobby tires for off road. Should be a collaboration with off road oriented front fork company to change out the front forks to give an additional ride quality and rider weight adjustments.
Very nicely done, thank you
Nice job
Thanks
114 calories on a 33.6 mile ride.. you need to peddle more 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💯💯💯
Thanks again 👍🏽
Nice vid. A few comments. Another guy has analyzed the pas/max speed function, the pedal assist is tied to the max speed so as you max it out the various speeds of pedal assist also go up. For him and me it makes the speed of pedal assist 1 too high. Anyway this vid was a good reminder of the various thus you can change. Ron Nehrig is the other guy. He also did set up an app that controls some features.
One question: did you change the wheel circumference setting or was that the factory preset? Thanks.
Thanks! It's been so long I'm not sure but I believe the wheel diameter was already set
@@bigteedo_ev4905 it was. I checked.
In the last screen can you change "battery info" to a voltage number instead of just a % on your main display?
Yes it allows me to change the battery percentage to voltage but it doesn't work it switches to 50% instead of 58.8v
@@bigteedo_ev4905 im not sure what you mean when you say it switches to 50%? instead of 58.8v,
could you explain this to me a little further thanks!!! sweet bike
@@michaellawton9241 battery percentage ends with" % "and battery voltage ends with a "v" example full battery 🔋 in percentage will show 100% and full battery 🔋 shown in voltage you would see around 58.8v . So in settings when I switch from battery % to battery voltage it still shows percentage "%" and not actual voltage which will have a number like 58.8v with a "v" at the end meaning voltage read out
@@bigteedo_ev4905 thanks man, too bad it doesn't do that it's more accurate...
Great video and very helpful....many thanks! Do you have to download something on your phone? How does your phone display mph and pedal assist info?
Thanks! To use the bike you don't have to download anything the bike display shows everything but I do use my phone in videos to show GPS app stats since the bike display readings aren't based off GPS which is more accurate. The phone app I use is Speedometer Pro
@@bigteedo_ev4905 So, how do you sync that up and get it set for your bike? Sorry, I am an old guy that is not too good at this tech stuff...
@@rockwilliams457 You don't have to sync anything up with the bike. Once you have the speedometer app on your phone it works anytime you activate the app. Walking, in a car, or on a bike it will show speed. It only cares how fast the phone is moving.
@@rockwilliams457 his phone doesn’t display pedal assist stuff, you don’t need a phone GPS either the speedometer is accurate. There is a App for this bike but I would 100% not download it, it’s an insecure app from China
@@Refresh636 I agree. I’ve read the fine print on the apps for Chinese home camera systems sold on Amazon and was horrified by what people were consenting to. Basically full access to your cell phone including browser history. It also said they can randomly pull up your camera feed and use 7 seconds of video for company purposes…. That’s a no for me!
aren't they 26 inch tires?
Yup
@@bigteedo_ev4905 Why then does it say 28 inch in the display? Just wondering. And thanks for the videos BIG... Waiting for my Kepler and using you to get all the scoop..
Been riding e-bikes for over 2.5 years now. Yesterday, just surpassed 16,000 miles using pas2 only. Have Lectric and Rad Runner currently. Lectric bailed after just 2400 miles and Runner still ticking... Over 13k... no problems...
Any one now why my bike still will run when display is powered off?
Is it possible to limit the wattage output to 750 W?
Nope no way to adjust wattage output
I believe you might be able to adjust the amps and top speed limit
@@bigteedo_ev4905 Is it possible to adjust the voltage and amps so when you calculate it it's only 750 W?
@@viggowood7335 W = Voltage * amps
So at 52V to get around 750W set the amperage to 14 or 15.
Anybody found a cargo basket for the bike? Still sold out at Ariel Rider...
If you mean a rear basket to put on the luggage rack then just about any basket should mount without too much trouble. The Kepler looks to have a very sturdy rack with a lot of attachment points. If you look at the rear cargo baskets the various makers offer most of them look about the same or identical. If you want a front basket they can be harder to match up since their mounting has more variations.
I got one. Just set up email notifications on cargo basket. They will send email to let you know when in-stock. But act fast they go fast. 1st time I missed it and got mine on the second notification. I paid 96 dollars with tax and shipping.
Yup you literally have less than 10 minutes when you receive the notification that they’re “in stock” so act fast
