Hi Dani, I haven't actually watched any of your videos. I just wanted to say thank you so much for what you sent my mom Kerri. As she told you, she has been healing from brain surgery last week to correct a nerve problem. She can now (hopefully) live without pain in her face. I was visiting when she received your package and you made her SO happy. Thank you so much, you are so kind!!
You know I have always been a long time supporter of yours -you was the first beauty Vlogger that I watched that inspired me to create my own channel and I want to take a moment and thank you for that❤️love u dan
I like these videos! This is totally like a trusted friend saying, "You've got to try this, you'll love it!" Or, "If you see this and feel tempted, don't fall for it." I hope you keep doing these. Thanks and God bless you!
Hey Dani, my dentist also advised me to not use optic white. When I asked why he told me the following. It contains triclosan which is still being debated as to whether it's truly safe to use. Also even though they're listed as inactive ingredients he still isn't comfortable with using it, it contains sodium laurel sulfate and propylene glycol. The glycol is also used in antifreeze. After looking at several sites for info I found another thing that bothered me, if children under 6 swallow any more than amount used for brushing you are advised to get medical attention or call poison control. I've stopped using it after all that, I'd rather be safe than sorry. He also recommended pronamel and looking at ingredients, looks like a better option. Sorry for the long post, hope it was helpful. Love you and all your videos!!!
Yes. So many toothpastes have SLS and it's no good. I actually ended up switching toothpastes because I was getting those little cuts in the corner of my mouth. My doctor told me not to use toothpaste with whitening or mouthwash in it. Ever since I changed to pronamel or sensodyne I haven't had any problems. SLS can cause irritation, canker sores (which is the problem my boyfriend was having before he switched), and reduces the fluoride deposited back on enamel (one of the major reasons for brushing your teeth is to re-deposit this fluoride).
+Kali Lali for toothpaste you can use baking soda. just make it into a paste either water it works really good and it's cheap. it also helps whiten . stay away from stuff thst stains ,coffee, smoking ect..
SLS isn't necessarily bad for you. Some people just have more sensitivity to it than others. And triclosan still is not banned from the US but is in other countries.
For anyone that loves the Macadamia line, the newer products are in Tj Max. I've seen the conditioner Dani uses as well as the one for medium to coarse hair :)
Hey Dani --- maybe start buying all those cleaning products in a spray form and use a cloth.... There are good ones that don't leave residue... The disposable wipes are putting so much extra crap in our landfills.. (I totally sound like my mom now... Yikes...) .. Great video!!! Time to dump my optic white.... :(
You can buy the generic form of those blister bandages if you want to use them on blemishes. They are usually packaged as hydrocolloid bandages and you can get huge sheets of them, which you can cut to the size of your blemish. A $4 pack of the generic ones last me close to a year, with about 6-10 blemishes a month. Use the specially shaped ones for actual blisters on your feet/ankles/toes. Side note: I always love your empties, Dani. Your assessment of the products is so thorough.
You can purchase the Lumene products at Ulta. The primer is $19.99. I really like their Bright Now Vitamin C Day Cream SPF 15. So far it's the only SPF face cream that hasn't torn my face to shreds. That lemon rinse is super drying, if you have even the slightest bit of dry hair, don't use it! I threw away the second sample I got of it because of how dry and crispy it made my hair.
I LOVE amazing grace body lotion!!! I use it Every time I go into ulta and I can smell it on my hands for the rest of the day it lingers and I love it! I've never tried the actual body butter though I just used the regular hand lotion that comes in the big pump bottle. Have you tried the perfume? I feel like it doesn't smell as nearly as good as the lotion.
I just wanted to say Dani for turning me on to the pinkseoul mask box. I love it . I even bought a skin care snail and bee moisturizer love it . also really love thier vitamin mask. I use the extra all over my nevk, chest ,back of hands so none goes to waste . really tempted to get the bi monthly box for 45.00 for older skin . trying to mask 4 times a week so thank you so much .
I've been using the Drunk Elephant B-hydra intensive Hydration Gel as my morning final moisturizer and i mix it with the Paulas'a Choice Niacinamide. I also use their Juju bar at night for washing my face - it has a super fine grain to it to exfoliate, but doesn't strip the skin and I really like it. I haven't tried the DE C serum yet because I am currently using the Paula's Choice C+ and I want to finish that before i try something else. Thanks for all the info you post - sooo helpful!
I have sensitive teeth, and I love Sensodyne Pro-namel. I alternate between that and Rembrandt Intense Stain, which is _amazing_ if you drink lots of coffee and red wine!
I'm picky with body butters as well! Bliss in grapefruit+aloe is awesome if you want to try a new one! They're $30 at sephora for a 6 oz, I believe, but they have 14 oz "super sized" versions for 14.99 at marshalls right now!
Oh! Also, I've heard great things about the Sunday Riley "Good Genes" serum from sephora. Trying to decide between it and drunk elephant at the moment. Only problem is price. Goodbye, life savings.
Glad you told us that those beads are being removed from body washes. While it will be better for the environment, that brown sugar Caress body wash is one of my favorites, & I bought a bottle today for old times sake since it might not be around soon.
Tortillas!!! Con mayonesa o mantequilla!!!! 🙋🏻 and yes to the Old School Aussie! Uyyyy ya llovió Dani! Lol. ... That's the toothpaste I've been using for a year now and I love it! ... A tip, I buy the regular sheet masks at Daiso and it's super inexpensive. Lots of great stuff! Xoxo
I use the Philips Flouridex toothpaste and the whitening was MAJOR - noticed the difference in a few days!! Flouridex + Sonicare is my all-time fav teeth combo. It is a prescription toothpaste though so you may have a harder time finding it. Highly recommended though!
I love ALL of your videos. I just have to say I do miss the intro of you with your coffee lol. I know things grow and you have to change things up but hey 1 time plz do it again lol. Your the best
Hey, Dani! Have you ever heard of cleaning with white vinegar and water? It cleans glass and acrylic and anything but absorbent wood finishes like magic! So shiny and sparkly, totally kills germs/bacteria, AND it's super cheap and the very best of all, it's 100% cruelty free. Just a suggestion. Love your videos!!
A cool life hack for greasy hair that I found is dawn dish soap, it sounds really strange but it really does work! I just apply it with my shampoo, and when my hair dries it stays free of excessive grease a lot longer! It's not something I would say to use every day because you don't want to dry out your hair, but it's an overall great thing to use for extra greasy hair!
I would highly recommend reading the reviews of that toothpaste on amazon, so many people have had allergic reactions because the ingredients are so harsh that theyre creating ulcers in and around the mouth! It happened to my mom and she had no clue why it was happening until she found the reviews.
I have been using the Pekee bar and the Glycolic Night Serum both by Drunk Elephant for about a week and a half now. I suffer from really bad deep texture acne bumps in my cheek area and on the sides of my nose by my eyes and it is starting to fade away! The first week my skin went thru a really bad purge but now I can't wait to apply makeup and have it be smooth! You should try it and if you don't like it you can always take it back!
My dentist recommend pronamel toothpaste and I've been using it for years. I don't use the whitening one because I use it to restore the enamel on my teeth. I was born with naturally bad enamel on my teeth and the pronamel really helps. I use the multi action
You're on of my favorite RUclipsrs because you're so sweet and real, but as someone who lives in Michigan and is directly affected by the use of micro-beads polluting and contaminating the Great Lakes, I'm pretty disappointed that you don't seem aware of how horrible they are. There are tons and tons of natural alternatives including jojoba beads which are much better for your skin anyway.
+Emily Froass I was about to comment the same thing. Obama actually signed a law banning polyethylene microbeads because they end up down the drain and polluting the environment! I'm very glad this law was passed and companies are phasing out this awful ingredient. It's good news for everyone!
Have you ever tried the Coty Airspun loose powder? It is soooo good and very afordable. The scent is a bit strong but it doesn't last. Have a good day!!
I started using the DE TLC serum before all the hype and it's been a good 8-9 months now. Love it. I see a difference when I don't use it. I TRY to alternate between that and my Retinoid serum but it's hard to 😭 face is brighter and looks healthier. Been using their C Firma, 2 wash bars, Marula oil, B hydra, and Lala cream. And I'm not one to use products from just one skincare line but DE is good. Nothing has disappointed me.
Hey Dani. In the video you mentioned your "inner crusty lid, that comes back every winter" do you know if it's allergies, dry skin or a makeup product that breaks your eye out? Mine did it off and on last fall/winter and I'm trying to prepare for this year if it should act up. :)
Apologies if a million others have already said this - no time to read through all of the comments - but Lumene products are carried LOTS of places including @ ULTA, Walgreens, CVS, Meijer, & I'm sure some other places too., I know I have seen the primer in particular @ both ULTA & Walgreens.
P.S. Re: drunk Elephant, I'm not sure whether you're referring specifically to their C-Firma Day Serum or their Glycolic Night Serum, but I've used both (only b/c I got a fab seal on dermstore!) The Glycolic Serum, which is a 10% AHA, aka a chemical exfoliant, is also a great product & I have nothing negative to say about it, but I didn't prefer it or find it to do anything above & beyond what my Paula's Choice 10% AHA, which is far less expensive. In terms of considering replacing your current serum, it's important to not only think of a product as a "serum" but to know what the active ingredients are in a given product, b/c they may or may not be compatible/ interchangeable (&/ or it may be better to use two diff products, not necessarily & the same time but AM & PM or even every other day.) Hope that helps, & let me know if you have questions!
It is so interesting that your dentist told you that about Colgate Optic White. I've been using it for years, have great teeth, and my dentist has never asked. I was curious so I googled it. Apparently, some people have had increased sensitivity, and other extremely adverse effects. However, I couldn't find any answer as to why? I'm a person that needs to know the whys. My guess would be either the hydrogen peroxide, although the % is low, or too much fluoride. I use the enamel white which has 1.14% sodium monofluorophosphate. I did notice that target stopped carrying it. Gonna call my dentist.
I use Optic White and havent had any issues! My dentist hasnt said anything about it for the last few years I've been using it. Did she give any specific reasons why it's not the best?
Hi Dani, I haven't actually watched any of your videos. I just wanted to say thank you so much for what you sent my mom Kerri. A flour tortilla with some butter is one of the best snacks ever. Love you Dani!

if I didn't just get off work I would stay up and watch this, I'll be back when I wake up love your videos hun!

MICROFIBER!
+Kristen Kuruugaa -- some microfiber can leave fibers... But if you find a good one its a game changer.... You can use them to remove makeup too.. :)
The Drunk Elephant serum was a GAME CHANGER for my skin care routine. Love ya!
I absolutely LOVE your empties videos! Keep doing them quarterly!!☺️❤️
Ransio 😂😂😂😂😂😂😷😷 haven't heard that in a while. Love u Dani!!!! You always make my day!
Drunk Elephant is a MUST. Dermstore always has amazing discounts. Results were quick and life changing.
Dani! One coat of the Superhero mascara then a coat of the Maybelline Lash Sensational. It's life, girl!

Just love empties and I use Sensodyne have for years and it's awesome. And totally agree those Shiseido cottons are to die for.
Good morningggg! I love empties & my coffee break with Dani 💗💗💗
Yes! I've used the Sensodyne Pronamel gentle whitening for about 2 years and I absolutely love it! I can't use anything else now.
I love you Dani! Your really one of my favorite people, in just the way you are and talk.
CVS has a great dupe for the Shiseido cottons! They are $3.79 for 150. I've used both and they are very comparable.
Love you Dani!!! You always make my day, love love watching your videos!!!
I've never had a teeny tiny trash can bring me so much joy! ♻️🚮😊💙

I am pulling you over to the Drunk Elephant boat! It's sooooo good and so is the oil! Pricey but worth it!
I need to get that eye cream. I have dry skin in the winter too!

I use the Optic White once a week and Sensadyne the rest of the time.
Good to know about your empties I had no idea about the Colgate optic
Dani, your "ratchet" makeup looks better than my best makeup day 😂 love you lady!
My dentist recommend pronamel toothpaste and I've been using it for years. I don't use the whitening one because I use it to restore the enamel on my teeth. I was born with naturally bad enamel on my teeth and the pronamel really helps. I use the multi action
I had a full size tube of the Gifted mascara. It dries up INCREDIBLY fast. I only used it maybe a month before it was gunky and no good.
Still love the Sprunch! I remember getting the recommendation from you!
daiso also sells the dry sheet masks!
thanks good to know. 💄💅💋👀
I was about to say the same thing! I got some recently in my Pink Seoul subscription box.
You're on of my favorite RUclipsrs because you're so sweet and real, but as someone who lives in Michigan and is directly affected by the use of micro-beads polluting and contaminating the Great Lakes, I'm pretty disappointed that you don't seem aware of how horrible they are. I'm kind of confused now... unless the Caress I just bought is a newer formula... Mine says it has jojoba beads.
+onyxfaith Oh good they have probably already switched over!!
I dont think they ever did have them
Please do a video on your hair products. I have a really hard time with fine greasy hair, too. I'd love to know what works for you.
Lumene is a finnish brand 😊🇫🇮 it was so suprising to hear you mentioning it 😃🙌 I love many products from Lumene. Love you and your channel! ❤️

Dani, thanks for your encouraging, entertaining, and positive videos, I enjoy them a lot! A question, have you tried the Burberry cashmere make up?
I need a tutorial with that eye makeup
Drunk Elephant is the best glycolic product I've ever used!
Dani, love your recycling trash can! Where did you find it?
Try the macadamia oil repair mask it's amazing. It's like magic for dry/color treated hair.
What's bad about Colgate optic?
I don't think it Dani's tooth paste that is bad, but the Optic White with the blue micro beads
+Angelica 454 It damages the enamel and over time weakens the teeth, my dentist told me...
wow, its good to know
+Angelica 454 my daughter was told the same thing about the red tube thst Dani was using. she said it strip your teeth of its enamel.
I don't know why stores sell these kind of toothpastes then that will harm our teeth 😡
"i don't know if i stole this primer from the store!" hahahaha love it😁😁😁
Have you ever tried the Coty Airspun loose powder? It is soooo good and very afordable. The scent is a bit strong but it doesn't last. Have a good day!!
I admire your happiness and bubbly spirt you are the definition of great vibes.. pass it around the world needs more of you.. 💚💙💜
I started using the DE TLC serum before all the hype and it's been a good 8-9 months now. Love it. I see a difference when I don't use it. You have one you have to try.
Hey Dani. In the video you mentioned your "inner crusty lid, that comes back every winter" do you know if it's allergies, dry skin or a makeup product that breaks your eye out? Mine did it off and on last fall/winter and I'm trying to prepare for this year if it should act up. :)
I have the same issue, and mine is eczema. There's a lotion called vanicream that I put on it at night and it helps soooo much!
Apologies if a million others have already said this - no time to read through all of the comments - but Lumene products are carried LOTS of places including @ ULTA, Walgreens, CVS, Meijer, & I'm sure some other places too., I know I have seen the primer in particular @ both ULTA & Walgreens.

I buy the same Lumene primer at Ulta! I love it!
My dentist gave me Colgate total! Switch to that I love it similar to the optic white
I live in lewisville tx and my target carried it! But they don't carry the kids Aussie shampoo, which I love for my son!

Si por favor haz un tutorial de cuidado del cabello 😁😁😁😁

I find lumene products at my local cvs! It's worth a look if you like it!
Hey Dani :) could you do a back to school makeup tutorial for high schoolers?💗
Yes to hair care routine 💓💓
I love the Old Spice Fiji! I thought I was the only girl. 🙋🏼
I use Optic White and havent had any issues! My dentist hasnt said anything about it for the last few years I've been using it. Did she give any specific reasons why it's not the best?
Kathleenlights uses the Drunk Elephants line, I'm not sure the exact products but she's dry skinned and I'm pretty sure it's a serum!!
Dani, I love your eyeshadow :D , what were you wearing in this video?
