    I think Sandersons issues last season were mainly down to the mismanagement and confidence destroying time when we played Rooneyball. Being paired with Aiwu last year didn't help matters.

      Sandersons issues were pub related…

    Completely agree about the Cardiff home game last season. Cardiff weren’t great but they didn’t need to be. We looked nervous throughout and there were mistakes all over the park. It was a definite low point and the first time I really started to think that we were in trouble.

    Sanderson has been a revelation pre season after some iffy performances last season. Laird has looked good but needs to improve his crossing.

    First, thanks to Brian and Alex for your great podcast! When I want to update myself on Blues I always go to Birmingham Live, since that is where I can find true information that is not copied by others and so on. Keep right on with the podcast, please, and with the good reporting on Birmingham Live!
    But I want to ask a question.: Aren't you worried that Birmingham will not meet the expectations of being promoted to Championship? I am Swedish (my other nick is swedishbluenose), living in Hong Kong for the past 20 years, and I have seen so many good teams being relegated to first Championship and then League One. For many of them, it have taken years to go back and for a lot of them, they are still in League One, read Wigan, Charlton, Barnsley, Bolton, Blackpool, Reading, Huddersfield, Rotherham and so on.
    My second question is: How would you expect Wrexham to perform in League One? Could Wrexham, and not the highly investing Blues, be the surprise tickert in the coming season instead of Blues?

    Just frompre ious pod guys, do you think we could go for a quality defender with pace instead of midfielder? We could have him alongside bielik with Sanderson as back up or use Bielik in midfield, switching to defence if needed

    I actually think Longelo is a left winger and looked good under Eustace when he came on for Dembele.
    Comparing Rooney and Davies is like comparing a swan with a brick.

    We will probably be starting our first game with 7 outfielders that played for us last season!
    FFS rewarded for failure. Let’s see how good Chris Davis actually is when the pressure is on. He has never managed a game in his life

    Last season laird looked like he was managing his fitness after his injuries, didn’t look like he could trust his hamstrings running at full pelt. This preseason he has looked fully fit and running like he was at the start of last season.

    Our right side is a weakness. Laid was not our best right back for us last season IMO that would have been Cody. Could Sanderson play at right back then Klarer play centre half ?

    • @FutureIsBlue-tq1xy
      @FutureIsBlue-tq1xy 3 месяца назад +1

      Laird has a lot of pace though his distribution could improve. He has still had 3 assists in preseason. I'm sure they can work on this. I agree we should have signed Drameh. I was surprised we released Williams as well. I would keep Sanderson exactly where he is as he has excelled in preseason alongside Bielik. Klarer will still get plenty of games.

      @@FutureIsBlue-tq1xy I agree Sanderson has been great pre season with high high quality passing (almost Glen Hoddle lol) I just feel he has not been tested defensively and Klarer is a damn good player that I feel would give us more strength at the back. I know Sanderson has played at right back before when he was younger. KRO

    Buchanan seems to be one of those players who unfortunately seems to pick up niggly injuries on a regular basis. He always seems to be crocked with a different thing which disrupt his momentum and form. Fingers crossed he can get over this latest setback and have an extended run of fitness
