There's been so little anime I've really been into in the last little while, I've more been looking up some of the older stuff to rewatch, like Slayers & Lost Universe, Great Teacher Onizuka, Samurai Pizza Cats, Irresponsible Captain Tylor, &c. I think I was into Re:Zero for a while but they took so long to get to season 2 that I kinda lost interest, same with Attack on Titan. I think I started losing interest in anime in general around the time the the local anime community were talking about "filler arcs" in Naruto and Bleach, and basically saying "start watching here, stop watching there, skip these episodes, then start watching here again" watching anime started becoming work, with either the first season just being a big advertisement for the manga, or having to follow along with the manga anyway, so now you're paying for two media to tell one story.
Have you covered, or are you going to cover Mameda No Bakeru on the podcast? I didn't really care about the developers of Kirby Epic Yarn or Yoshi's Wooly World until I found out that they were ex-Konami-Osaka, and I didn't know they were ex-Konami-Osaka until they started releasing trailers for a Goemon-like game they were making! Just this morning at 4 am my time they released a new trailer for it, and there were already more English comments on it than Japanese, asking for a localization!
I would have been way more interested in what they were bringing to the table way back on the Wii if something like Mameda no Bakeru was the first thing they brought to Nintendo! They've shown so much diverse gameplay I already want to be assured that there are sequels planned!
