As one of your many Filipino subscribers, I’d like to express my appreciation for your choice of our country as your home-away-from-home. Inspite of all the negative publicity our country constantly gets from outside, here you are telling everyone through your videos how happy you are to be here. Thank you Brian. ❤
"Just go to where you are treated best," as what you always said, best means not only with the smiling kind hospitable helpful happy people but the conveniences in a beautiful city setting with beautiful city lights on a rainy evening while listening to a classic or jazz music on a car using the FM stations in the US downloaded on a cellphone via the Playstore, having a glass of beer on a rooftop bar, going to nearby beautiful tropical scenic nature, that easy life that makes daily living very light like a very soft cotton candy floating on air, easy living without any heavy baggages. Thanks Brian ✨💖💖💖💐🎉🏖️🏝️🌅
You work to live. You DON'T live to work! I had a great career, but was tired of the rat race at about age 55. I retired at 60. In 2024 I spent 4 weeks on holiday in Europe, 3 weeks in Mexico and 5 weeks in BGC. My first night in BGC I saw ol' Brian the Lion walking down the High Street vlogging. I did not stop him, he was working and I figured I'd run into him again. But I didn't. BGC was great! I had very few plans and no schedule. Cold beer, good food, lots of pretty women...what's not to like.
My personal answer is FINANCIAL FREEDOM. Money is just a tool. Tool to do whatever you want ❤ that is REAL FREEDOM Hopefully with God grace I’ll be “Financially Independent” in 3 -5 yrs. I’ll retire early at the age of 45 yrs old. We still have our PAID OFF PROPERTIES in the Philippines. Since im a Dual citizen. I might travel around Asia first. And if my budget allows me. I want a vacation house in Japan 😂😂😂
Wow so he is happy now? Crazy. I hope he has enough money to sustain this..Imagine if all the medical workers decided to do what he just said. We will all be doomed. There should be balance. In everything. Be happy. Travel. But do it responsibly. Make sure you have a fall back. And travel should only be months. Otherwise, it's not traveling anymore but running from responsibility. Regret will come soon when you are old.
But you have to remember he worked for the NHS aka Government run health care. Of course he was miserable as probably most of the workers in that system are. I agree he needs to be responsible but he should also do what makes him happy. There's more to life than money and if he has or can find another way to make money where he is happier he should do that.
@@thomasw78 Doing what makes you happy is called hobby 😊 Work is work. You don't need to like it. If you find one that makes you happy, great. But for most, it is just work.
4:41. I took mini retirements throughout life, but they were often packaged as negative events when in fact they were learning and recharging events: Age 14 (4 Months) Age 21 (5 months) Age 26 (3.5 years - I was in med school believe it or not and travelled to Europe and went to the beach in so cal on student loan money instead of going to class - long story) Age 42 (5 months) Age 44 ( 6 months) Age 50 - 59. (Multiple years) Nevertheless I still have a 25 year state teachers pension coming and a decent 401K savings - thanks to God). Graduated from an Ivy League college, did many things on a professional level in many sectors. Life is about balance.

Let's not normalize this, making poor choices. Be happy but do it responsibly.
