An advice for the deflation: there is a "spike" on the outer side of the stopper, if you turn the stopper and press it into the tube, it'll push the valve and deflate the jacket. Don't need to push the valve with your nail. Anyway, great demo, I wanted to see one for some time now. All the other reviews only talk about the PFD, but never saw it work. Thanks!

You could use it for SUP surfing because it doesn't automatically inflate but an Impact vest would better. Sorry Im not sure which vest is best those.thanks Reuben
You're not, you are right. It's designed as an emergency flotation device that you have to put on manually . It will never be as good as a full on lifejacket. But for most SUPers that don't want to wear full on bulky life vest it great. Thanks for your comment.

You are right Joe if you fall in the water unconscious that lifejacket will not help you. Nor will a buoyancy aid ether. The only thing that will help you in that situation will be a self inflating life jacket that you wear around your chest the whole time. This is an inflatable life belt pack that the user has to manually put on. But it is still a life jacket and not BA or life vest which we are trying to highlight in the beginning of the video. Sorry for the confusion

If you activate this, do you have to buy a new co2 cartridge or are they good for multiple uses?
You will have to buy another co2 cartridge fr every activation. Only good for one inflate. Thanks, Beau
