Al-Quds Day observed around the world, standing in solidarity with Palestinians

- To mark al-Quds Day on Friday, demonstrators held marches in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Al-Quds Day was launched by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the leader of Iran's 1979 Islamic revolution, and is held on the last Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.
From England, to Pakistan, to Syria, thousands protested, opposing Israel's conflict in Gaza and condemned the U.S., too - with many burning American flags.
"This (day) is not meaningful for Palestinians only, but for all Muslims and Arabs in general," one woman said in Beirut, Lebanon.

Can I have my own state just for me? Are there any qualifications for statehood or should states be bestowed upon anyone for any reason? Jews have been in Israel for over 3300 years and now is the Third Commonwealth. Palestinians don't even exist as a distinct people as they are the same as Egyptians and Jordanians. Jews have their own distinct language, faith, holy books, currency, monarchies of the past, two Holy Temples in Jerusalem, etc.
