I've always wondered how people were layering parts to make cool designs like this, if you're like me and didn't realize, there is a setting called Clip Parts, that setting will let you layer parts in ways that would normally be impossible.
After you finish the stuff about the space shuttle, you should try to make a updated starship tutorial. Cause there is some stuff you missed in the first one! (The fins on the starship 2nd stage and grid fins)
I know, I have the game on android and on my ipad. When I tried to bring all the sfs files on my android phone to my ipad, it deleted all the capsules. The way to fix this is to open the file and change it from "capsuleNew" to just "capsule" and move it down by one (to compensate for the heat shield). You can find the file in Var/Mobile/Containers/Data/Spaceflight Simulator/Documents/Saving/Blueprints for iOS (if you are jailbroken, of course). On android it is Android/Data/com.StefMorojna.SpaceflightSimulator/Files/Saving/Blueprints.

Both versions have the heat shielded capsule. Now, getting the old capsule requires bp editing.
