Do you have suggestions for Masters on Pathology focused on Pathologists Assistant in Canada? I'm an undergraduate student on Medical Laboratory Sciences here in Brazil (5 years long) and I'm considering to do a masters on Histopathology in Canada. I already work as a PA here under supervision (it's a very interesting internship program) at the Local Hospital of the city I live in. I was considering going to British Columbia to work next year. But I'm kind of lost. I didn't want to go without a prospective plan regarding post-graduation

First of all thanks for watching the video and commenting!
If you are looking for accredited Masters programs in Canada that focus on Pathologists Assistants training I would go to the NAACLS website and look up PA programs (naacls.org/Find-a-Program.aspx) which will list accredited programs in Canada. There isn't currently a training program in British Colombia but there are two in Alberta which is the next province over and these are located at the University of Calgary and University of Alberta (The U of A program is currently in the process of obtaining their accreditation). There is at least one program in Eastern Canada at Western Ontario University. It sounds like you have good lab experience already and if you're been able to work as a PA already that would definitely provide lots of first hand knowledge about the job which programs typically ask you about.
I would visit those university's websites and see if you could apply to one of those programs. Hopefully that gives you some ideas for post graduation!

Thanks for watching and the question.
From what I understand a MBBS is equivalent to an MD from a North American medical school and after completing this you would receive a Dr suffix. One thing to be aware of is not all international medical graduate degrees are recognized in North America, depending on which school you attend, if you are planning on working in Canada or the US. Then after completing the MBBS/MD you would need to specialize in pathology though a residency program in order to become a clinical pathologist.

Yes - as long as when you graduate, you come out of university with a bachelors degree (typically with a science background) you can apply to a pathologist assistant training program.
