We could learn to make good movies from this time. Story actually held the narrative even if the facts didn't match reality. Today we know no one could live on a fragment of Earth, but the story is great regardless. The characters are awesome, and I love the flow of the story.
I learned how to make gun powder before I was in my teens. I can't remember how so it could have been from watching this movie. I am 80 now and this movie brought back many memories.
I think I may have seen this before but it was pretty cute. Imagine they all had perfect teeth back then. Jules Verne was a genius and some of his tales came true but this one is really farfetched but still entertaining
At 37:00 minutes into the film did you notice when the girl found our hero, she had a bucket. Where did she get that ? Pretty good craftsmanship for primitive people. Ha Ha!
One Million B.C. 1940 Valley of the Dragons 1961 uses many of the same stock footage One Million B.C. used and not just the typical lizard/dino stuff. Even the cave set 2754 looked the same. Kept it for 21 years? Then starting at 34:00 the same script with Victor Mature from One Million B.C. appearing in the clip. Wild. Don't think I've ever seen a movie do this before. But Victor Mature gets no mention in the credits which must suck. Kind of wild I watched One Million B.C. just last night for the first time.
Thanks waterbug, since you saved me the time from posting the same *_Unavoidable Observation...._* 😂 Even the story line sequence, once they arrived in "dinosaur land", closely mirrored One Million B.C. 😵💫
Quite nice if you lower your modern standards and focus on the core story. One thing that struck me is that if similar would be done today I think the actors would be a bit more muscular. Time changed and today we would probably also not depict Neanderthals this rude and crude but whatever... I sorta like this kind of old theatrical movies which don't have so much "agenda" and more just for fun.

Eu estou com 62 anos , mas me sentí como um jovem de 60 anos , que filme massa , ainda bem que meu óculos é com lente colorida , nem percebí que o filme era descolorido , hahahahahahahahahahaha.
I'm 77 now and love all the old sci fi movies. I haven't seen this one before. Not a bad movie.
The novel is better

I have to admit, for 1961, those volcano 🌋 effects were fantastic!
Rodan jump scare at 8:50!😂😂😂

Reminds of the original, Journey to the Centre of Earth! Love the giant critters 😅 My only question is.....how do they light their fire 🔥🔥??
Saturday afternoon fun.
Was that Rodan in a cameo appearance at 1:06.1 ? Sure looked familiar to me.......
It sure was.
Monsters of Night in Dragon Mountain:

38:27 Metallica before famous
An Irish man and a French man bring peace to troglodytes. Yeah! That's believable. Worth a watch to see how much special effects have advanced.
Cesar Donovan was in a lot of TV shows. He never made it big but he was in a lot of TV shows shows that a Mr. Suave.
8:50...
"I've never seen a creature like that before"
That's because you've never watched Rodan.

The “dinosaur” fight was used in both One Million B.C.with Victor Mature and in Two Lost Worlds with Dennis O’Keefe. I root for the lizard each time…
Those Neanderthals are nightmare fuel
NO, BUT DIMTARDS ARE!!!
this was the precurser of one million BC
Yeah, I remember not watching this years ago.
Wow they tossed a lot of iguanas in this movie
Actual animals were used in the fight scene. Hollywood was way different then.
The fighting lizards are in a couple other movies.
Yeah especially the big spider
It really scared me.
All the best animals from the movie bc with victor marcher tomak
Never seen the swimming pool scenes before had to be censored LOL.
This man is Mr. Mcbeevey,on Andy Griffith.
The telephone 📞 electrician pole man that Opie was friends with.
If some Rive Tribe women could speak in kiss, I'd know how to love her. All I need is a hug to say hello.
How many animals were harmed in making this movie
How did Rodman get in this movie?
I wonder about the ethics of introducing the aborigines to gunpowder.

Too many animals were harmed in this film.
Harmed brain on tour. 😂

Look up Animal Shelter Gas Chamber
54.39 Morlocks go figure.
Get me a big can of Hot Shot or Raid!
Get me a big can of Hot Shot or Raid! 28:01
@ 30:28, “it tastes just like chicken”.
I cant watch this with all the animal abuse in it.. So happy we have laws now to prevent that type of cruelty
no horses were injured in this film. lol
Don’t forget that those animals were only doing what animals do, surviving and only doing what they do to eat and not for sport or fun.
🤣
yeah i aint liking this vid dude
