Alot of the time direct connecting your pc or game console to modem does help lots. And or looking up your router specs to check if it has enough channels to support ur speeds

Buddy the Rosewill (yes I saw it...newegg, budget, house brand junk) USB adapter that you plugged in is not so good. Your laptop will have an internal PCI mini wireless card that has dual antennas running up behind the screen to the top of the lid. A USB nano wireless adapter is going to have a severely limited range.

I actually came up with a better idea. Try putting an aluminum foil under your laptop especially under macbook pro retina. I just did it and from 114, it went to 168 transmit rate but reception remained the same. It was experimental but it worked great. After doing some research, i have found that it is just simply deflecting upcoming waves from the router back to the antenna mounted in the laptop thus, only rate of transmission is increased.
the last time i got something from SKIDROW they never put a password on there stuff its always on a torrent free so this is either a fake or ur trying to install something on our computers that we wont know about.
