Thanks for these new segment videos on priceless history. There should have been a plaque at Harlem World long ago. Sylvia's All Platinum label gave listeners all
those classic Moments recordings & I dig the roughness of those tracks contrasting with those heavenly harmonies. That date of Sugar Hill's debut in September 1979
takes me back to 5th grade & the " Off The Wall" album pumping on the radio throughout that school season. I remember being transfixed by classmate Joe
Louis - who could rhyme back the whole extended long version of " Rapper's Delight". Despite school work not being his thing at the time, in my 10 yr old mind he was a genius.
