2 years ago today i climbed up the Mogollon rim on my hike of the AZT. I hope your hike of the northern section will be as wonderful as mine was. Also, i enjoyed your video of the bike path in Tucson through Oro Valley. I was there last winter but decided to stay home in Maryland this year. One day our paths will once again cross! All the best. Blaze On! (Mason)
Kristy your tag line is, “Gosh, unbelievable!” Seems no matter who we are we have favorite things that we repeat in our videos. Mine is “amazing”. Life is amazing and unbelievable! Looking forward to the Arizona trail videos!
Hi ladies! I really enjoyed the Garden walk! So pretty with the snow-capped Rockies surrounding. I visited Garden of the Gods many years ago and went up Pikes Peak on the cog train. What a beautiful area. Well you guys ran into a variety of weather in your travels. The food at the tea place looked great! Love your upbeat attitudes and wonderful spirit. See you on the next one!
I really enjoy how much your treasure the small things in life, like a muffin with butter and a tea :) So many people lose sight of enjoying all the moments, even the little ones. Thanks for sharing your journey. Have a great wknd.
I lived in Manitou Springs back in the 70's when I was a young hippie chick. I'm an old hippie lady now living in Canon City. If you're ever hiking in my neck of the woods I can show you some great trails. Happy camping ladies!
Great to see you two again. The vlogger Goobs is doing the Arizona trail now. I'm going to be taking Intro to hiking safety course at Colorado Mountain Club this month. I completed the north half of the South Platte Trail and will do 2nd half this week. Have you heard about the Front Range Trail? 19 miles of it goes west of Castle Rock and between Loveland and Ft. Collins. Some of the South Platte trail is part of it. It will go from border of NM to border of WY. Can't wait for that. Happy Trails💖
Been to Caballo lake. Camping below a dam is a little weird but we enjoyed it. Stayed at a nice place in Raton as well. I really enjoy that part of the country.
I need to get out to GoG soon, maybe next week & Red Rock Canyon too. Can you say where you parked that's about 30 min from Manitou? I have no desire to drive there of course nor pay $$ to park, ha. So walking or jogging in sounds good. Enjoy your time here before the AZT!
@@wanderwomenkristyannette5021 Thank you! It would be fun to get in a hike and visit Manitou before the tourist-craziness begins and then again after crazy season is over :)
Saw you were carrying a sleeping pad, but you didn't camp overnight? Love Manitou Springs. My sister lives in CO Springs so I get out there about once a year.
We're carrying our full packs for training. That pad on the outside of my bag is to sit on during breaks and around camp. Mary Poppins sold me on the idea of an oversized sit pad!
We can’t wait to hike in the Garden of the Gods in May. Adding that cafe/shop to our must do list. Tea and muffins? Heck, yeah! After all that hiking prep, go for the muffins! You earned it. 💪🏻🥾⛰️
I love my home state and I love the Wander Women!!❤❤❤
Awesome!!! Love your encouraging words. 👍😎🇨🇦
Another lovely positive video. I really think our strenth is in our ability to be flexible. Thanks heaps.
Welcome back to CS! Nothing like seeing Pikes Peak looking so beautiful against that clear blue sky! Great G of G walk!
Glad you were able to vanquish the storms and make it back to Colorado. Arizona Trail in sight! I’m looking forward to the adventure!

Never been to this beautiful place but feel like I know it because of you. Some day.
You have inspired me to plan next winter in the southwest, so envious of you both hiking while I am snowed in here in WI
I hope you enjoy the delights of the SW deserts in winter.
Good too see you doing what you both love so much!!

Sounds fun. I love Canon but don't know much about it.

I haven't seen any write-ups on the Front Range Trail. Sounds cool . I took Basic Mountaineering School with CMC back in the 90's. Good stuff.
I hope it feels good to be home again.
Always. Makes my heart sing
.
Enjoyed your Garden of the Gods hike. Love that place! Hey, if y’all ever need a place to stay while driving through NM, give me a shout.
Thank you

My home.town ❤
We stayed at Storrie Lake in the fall and we had lots of rain there.
"Have watched you from your AT vid. Netty, every time you have waved, I waved back. 'Hope you will think of it.
I will think of it. Thanks for telling me so I can enjoy the image!

It looks like they parked at the skate park right beside the tennis/pickleball courts.
We parked on Beckers. Near skate park.

What is the mountain peak with snow on it?
Pikes Peak
@@wanderwomenkristyannette5021 thank you! I thought maybe it was! A lot of snow up there😊

I also recommend their deli pesto sandwich. I hope to see you in May!
