Love the looks of this car and the innovation like those adjustable rear seats for kids, however listening to Paul’s comments about the service costs, the fact that Australian cars are made in China raise questions on reliability and repairs linger. The entertainment system with no hard buttons for quick access and manual damper controls was also a let down compared to similar priced rivals.
Caradvice lost a real gem with Paul Maric. Gonna be sad not seeing reviews from him, Alborz and Tony in the future. At least they still have Trent, Jez and Mike to continue on I guess
Great review. $100,000 - an expensive car for sure. It has a lot to fall on devaluation. Servicing would be an issue, especially with ICE and electric together. Stingy with the 2 USB ports - my own sub $30,000 car has 4 USB type C ports.
It is all about branding and does not matter where the vehicles are manufactured. Just like coffee at 7-11 cost $1 but you would rather pay $3 at Starbucks
@@bcardamone what in the world are you on about? This car is $100k. As if Volvo would be able to price up a PHEV with more than 300kw of power for $70k. LOL
it has cup holders. 08:45 on top of the center armrest, rear air vents are in the rear pillars, B-pillars. USB doesn't exist it's true. But you can buy a 12 volt outlet adaptor with USB entries.
China have different kind of quality's... The same as another country's (USA make crapy cars and no much noise about it), but Volvo will be Volvo. The new line is just beautiful.
Exactly. Like Land Rover for example and Jaguar. The 100% owner is an Indian car manufacturer called TATA. Are Land Rover cars worst products just because their owner is Indian? Of course not. Let's stop being brainwashed.
Check your facts mate. Show me where you get a model x for under $100,000. Model X starts at $160,000 and goes up to $230,000 drive away price. This is around $100,000 drive away.
@Icelandic Cubicle you must know very little about cars. Check again the power and torque figure of a Ferrari 458. Marketing are for dumb people like you. I own Volvo's apart from its sterile driving experience and most of the time dumb aisin gearbox, it is no match to even a very old Ferrari 360.

Paul now has his own channel called carexpert. Even better for unbiased unscripted reviews!

I love so much, shape ,exterior,wheel disk,interior.
Thanks for the feedback!
I mean... it's cool, but Volvos are all about comfort, not sportiness.
And?
Excellent review!!! Great family car
Great review!
Bought it!
How is it?
I’m looking at a 2021 model now.
Which RUclips channel should we visit to see the cargo space?
Carwow
I like it, and I don't even have kids.
We’re surrounded with Chinese made products, last thing I need is a 100k Chinese made car with high costs of servicing
its not chinese
the seats are not confortable at all if ur a big guy.. hw tall ur man ?!!
Why is made in China car so expensive to buy and service?
would you rather pay for some Thailand or Indian machine?
It is all about branding and does not matter where the vehicles are manufactured. Just like coffee at 7-11 cost $1 but you would rather pay $3 at Starbucks
Its not made in China.
$100,000 with no rear air vents, cup holders or USB ??
The rear air vents are in the B-Pillars. Volvo has been doing this for years...
And it’s not $100,000, The Polestar 1 is $100k. This is an XC60 polestar engineered. It’s around $70k. Polestar .... is Volvo.
H Maccas Depends what upgrades you buy.

Letter to volvo - it needs 5 cylinders.
and 6cyls too
I hate plug in anything especially a car
Volvo car and truck, not same company
$100k, overly complicated, and made in China. Not exactly a recipe for success.
For less you could have a model X. Sad. And to think I used to be a Volvo fan.

@@vc8160 what are you smoking dude? They start at $81k.

These are Australian prices.
The XC60 starts at around 70-80 000 euros.
Lost me at "made in China".
“Oral appeal”?
Yeah thats from being nice to the Volvo people
