I've only ever done one other cross-stitch project before, and I picked up the eye kit because it looked easy and cute. I was so confused and finally decided to see if there was an explanation online. Thank you for confirming that it's at least not just me!
So grateful for this video because I have NEVER cross stitched and got the donut one because it was only $1.25 and I had NO IDEA what to do after reading the instructions they provided. Of course, had to some to RUclips to get some answers.
I appreciate the hoops on these very much! These are more like a coloring page for cross stitch, in my opinion. I have yet to find an embroidery kit! Thank you for posting this! I'm embellishing mine with beads to maybe hide the wonky outlines.
It looks like they confused embroidery and cross stitch. A lot of embroidery kits have preprinted fabric like that. The eye turned out really cute but it would be really difficult for a new stitcher.
I think a new stitcher would be very disappointed -- and these kits look perfect for beginners or older children. It feels like it's just setting up people for disappointment.

Thankful to see it’s just not me being stupid.. the evil eye has been kicking my butt
It looked like it would be a MUCH easier project, didn't it?

Not good designs for cross stitch.
They really aren't, are they? They'd make cute embroidery, though.
I bought them for the cheap hops for my classroom
I wouldn't have thought of that -- hope they work well for you!
