The problem is that some youtubers have no follow up. Wiljum his videos often are "spawn, build base, resource gathering, expand, .."... that is it, the next week its again, spawn, build, repeat. With aloneintokyo you have sneaking into enemy bases, active raids, online raids, actual base defense (and repelling), then a "come get me" at the end of the wipe. You feel like that hard work is used to the max with the base defense, kits, turrets, resources. There is actual thought put into the base designed where as Wiljum feels like he copies others designed too often and then does not know how to defend if online raided. Wiljium his peak / best episode was literally offline raiding a Chinese clan and then he still stumbled a lot. Like why are you wasting rockets on destroying the boxes, get the best loot, get out, come back. More rockets means more change of a clan member being triggered by sensor alarm or just coming online to hear those useless rocket (what happened). It felt infuriating ... Different playstyles but one is defiantly more entertaining, feels like work gets done, then the other.
@benjiro8793 fact pls put this message in willjum comment too . And blooprint and Tesla both have good content like aloneintokyo but in a movie form . You can see that too
@@benjiro8793willjum is chill he doesn’t claim to be AIT. If you don’t like willjum don’t watch him. I don’t think anyone can do what AIT does. If you expect things from ppl you will be disappointed.

If you have a base and a clan looks at it and goes "This is going to be at least 120 rockets" they will just pick other targets. He lures him into raiding him by his base looking like it won't take 100 rockets to raid when we know as viewers it would take a lot more than that.
I love seeing that first triangle foundation go down… you know the free base inspection is coming. It’s just a shame they got the turret down allowing them to keep coming in.

Like how can you see the nodes at night. I could not see them on your video? Like what gives? I play rust alot and can not see in the dark like you can
They made a recent change that a small area around you lights up. You have to remember as well that you don't see his whole wipe. For example when I play I get to know roughly where the nodes are that can spawn in my area so I can head to them in the night.

I'm just wondering maybe he just cuts out a literal ton of what he considers "boring" content like the endless hours of grinding ect, he shows a bit to ensure the video is long enough but cuts the rest? Please, try building a base in one of those new rocks, or on the anvil rock, I heard the bases there are super strong!
Alone can't build super secure bases. That would make the potential raiders not wanna raid him so it gives less content.
