Some of these cars probably would've qualified if I did a 3rd lap! They were right on the cusp before. You can thank Rubber Tow for the music! He made the suggestion lol.

Thanks for kind words and constant support, Victor! I felt bad myself about how many cars didn't make it, I wanted them to at least have a chance to see their handiwork! Hopefully they all like the surprise! The races were also a lot more exciting than I expected them to be, so I'm thankful for that.
I'm glad you liked it! I was planning on racing them after, but this quick little tournament seemed like the best way to do it! Some of these guys are Varsity status but were relegated to the JV team because Varsity was so stacked lol.
Awww, thanks, folks. Been a pretty good Diecast racing week for this rook. Let's see if it holds out. Thanks so much for the mini-tourney, TranSport! Adding my appreciation to everyone else's for you doing this, I know how much we're all loving seeing out cars get a chance to race after we put so much work into them. Even though my car didn't qualify, I learned a lot going through the process, and now I'm much more confident in the cars I've sent out since then. Thanks again. Besides, slower cars just means more video to watch, right? :)
Man, Griffin Cross getting the shit kicked out of him by just about EVERYONE in Race 3.. Yeesh. I'm glad to see the awesome fairness here of letting everyone play. Only makes me wish I followed through and built one myself.
Great Racing! Excellent idea of letting the non-qualifying cars have their own tournament! Lets the builders see their builds race and lets them know what they need to do to step it up! Excellent track...wish there had been commentary but the music fit where ya put it! Thanks for all the hard work! Looking forward to the DIRS!!
Thank you and you're welcome! I wanted to give them something for their efforts and exactly as you said, this gives the builders an idea of how they stack up. Commentary will be back in 2 weeks for the real DIRS!
This was the equivalent of the N.I.T tournament in college basketball.. Man this is so good!!! The music was really good tell that DJ to keep the music going.
Excellent Race. Awesome Soundtracks, Circuit Track Design, Editing, Aditional Camera Angles, Graphics Race Standings. Oh man, I wish all cars will get to restart the Race if all cars are DNFs. Since not one car managed to pass the Finish Line. That's how good the Race was when viewers wants to watch more.
Thank you for the kind words! I really considered restarting that DNF race but decided not to since there was a wildcard spot. I felt it was unfair for a car to get a 5th run to accumulate points to get in. There will be more racing next week! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Man, that third race of the last group... (whistles). Great racing everyone! (though I can... maybe kind of see why we all didn't qualify) :) My name, it is Sam Haul, and I'll race you, one and all, -damn your eyes- love you guys!
This is an amazing track, great attention to detail. I think that you need to do commentary, it would really put your channel up there as one of the best in Die-cast racing.
Thank you for those very kind words. I do commentary for some of my content, and will be doing commentary once the real DIRS tournament begins. Hang on tight!
Thank you so much for the Pre-race Mini Tournament. I enjoy participating in some races even though I did not qualify for the ultimate DIRS event. Maybe next year :-)
Oh man, I was dying laughing when i realized you were changing the music for the purple car. :) Lmao. From 12:25 on i can barely see thru th tears :) lol

Thanks Paul! Vacuum with a hose, then put the vacuum on a chair to get the higher spots lol. I only vacuum the track itself. All the other stuff gets swept into the valleys of the paper lol. I clean those whenever I modify the track and take parts of the paper down.
Say what? All we did was roll over and play dead a lot. We are incredibly confused. The legend of Cat Pirate continues to grow... however, even we have no idea of what the hell happened here. scientists
Always seem one super slow car in every line up...... Hmm wondering if you do time trials and add a turd to each race. Can see a Hot Wheels ad Now with working brakes. A little sad to see a fast car stuck behind one of these lame ducks and taken out of contention. Other than that great racing.... Well Maybe a little commentary instead of the elevator music perhaps.
Thanks for the kind words! The groups were determined by seeding so each one has at least one slow car. Some cars did outperform their qualifying runs so those are the groups with 2 or 3 fast cars. Commentary will return in 2 weeks with Round 1 of the real DIRS tournament. You'll like those videos a lot more!

Fun to see all these cars race each other in groups! Some great times too! The music change is hilarious! 😂

Nice to see that multi colored mutant Mopar finally finish a race , those 64 Impala's are Beasts! - anyway, GOOD RACING! 👍🏁😀
Thank you! Wish that Mopar made it further, it's fun to watch lol.
Man there were some awesome overtakes there. Great start to the racing!
Thanks Thom! This tournament is shaping up to be a lot of fun! I can't wait for the real event to start!
This is awesome! Nice suprise to give the non-qualifiers a little mini tournament. We look like the JV out there!!! Go JV!! 😂😂😂😂

Glad the non quals are getting some love.thanks again for kicking this thing off.😎❤️🏁
No problem! I'm glad we got the opportunity to do this mini tournament.
Wow...there were some sub-17sec times there that would have qualified...good pre-racing tournament!
Thank you! A few of these cars were tenths of seconds slower than the cutoff.
Great races! Sam Haul def the current favorite right now
Sam Haul was killin it! He might have trouble if Richard Stark beats Marcus Firegone next week.
Yeah, Sam Haul is my bet too!

Right! My thoughts too. Haha
It does feel foreign lol. Just wait til we start 6 car races!

That was a Charger with a bigass wing lol, but yes the birds do struggle here.
I agree. I've bought a few for the wheels, but never used the casting in a mail-in race.

I assume Peter Parker was driving because that car was a menace! LOL.
Goodness, some of those cars were just absolutely buck wild!
Oh yea! Just wait until you see the cars the qualified!
I love the Sunday Driver music! Nice touch!
I agree! That was very funny!
😂 thanks guys! I wasn't sure if I should include the footage at first but someone suggested adding Sunday Drive music and I was sold!
