Great post. I'm a bassist, that said, I can say Bonham was a bassist dream. He did exactly what a drummer is supposed to do. KEEP TIME. Solid to a fault. Knew exactly what he wanted to do and how to get there. Quintessential drummer. Omnipotent. This track is a perfect example of his raw power. He knew when to leave a period, a comma, an exclamation point, or better yet nothing at all- and let it ride out.. The f*cking guy was an engineering marvel.. Let me put it another way.. as your listening to this, do you really need the other instruments or Plant's voice? Didn't think so..
+Rst28 We’ll said yeah he has so many great examples of what you just said but definitely this is one of his best. I’m trying to put up as many as I can find
+Rst28 Well I think even though he was like a progressive drummer, it definitely was like a jazz musician that can take a wrong note and make it right and seem on purpose
currently been recreating this song in garage band on the bus to school, I've been around music all my life but I've only just gotten serious into drumming! ;)
Cool. Yeah it’s fun recreating songs and it’s a great way to learn how producers/artists/arrangers put their tracks together. Sometimes more education than you could get from a recording school
You're missing the odd little delay on the third bass drum beat. It's so key. Listen for it. There's honestly no other way to talk in song from tongues of lilting grace while also keeping time without it!
This is EZ Drummer 2, I need to get 3 but haven’t gotten it yet. But this drum set is one of the EZX add ons. I’m out of the studio so I can’t look it up right now cause I have so many ha but I think it’s the classic or vintage drums.
Really nice! Which recording of Kashmir are you drumming to? I tried to align this with the album version, to create a template, but the speeds are slightly different. Are you playing to one of Zep's live versions?
I know this is from 4 years ago, here's to hoping you see this. But would you mind if I use this for a cover I'm doing? No one watches any of my content anyway :D
Yeah, I could do you one better. If you want, I could get you an mp3 or ogg version of the drum track and post a link for you on my Patreon. Just let me know and I’ll work on it for you.
I play guitar.......if more drummers had a tone like JHB...it would be fucking great...he's my all time favorite drummer...I guess Moon as well for his reckless abandon...most of the later drummers I love ..Chad Smith Dave Grhol CHUCK BISCUITS wgats his name...tim Alexander..from primus..even freaking Neal part all cite JHB and moon .... how can't you.....just a guitar players tak3....rock, on people
Wrong!!!! This IS NOT the correct drum beat! The first beat is a SINGLE BASS BEAT and every other time it is double. If you are going to post something GET IT RIGHT!!!
Actually, I can tell you don't know your terminology, but you do like to "try" and be insulting. But your "Wrong!!!" If your really want to know the truth all of the basic kick drum, not bass beat, for most of the song are single hits but what your are calling "double" are actually because of a delay. So before you try and insult someone maybe you should do some research. I can't replicate that with a delay, I tried so I actually doubled up the kick to make it "sound" more accurate. And your not in any position to tell me what I can or cannot post on my channel. Second that, where's your video. Then let's compare. And if you want proof of what I'm talking about go to this webpage: www.noahsarkmusic.com/blog/motion/2017/07/04/youtube-phase-echo-drums.html and you can also check out Rick Beato's video: ruclips.net/video/XZYDDX1DHDU/видео.html
@@PianoVersion I'm pretty sure some of the kicks were actually doubled up. I'm not a musical expert but I can make some distinction between the delay effect and the double kicks.
3/4 and 4/4 meeting up on every 12th beat. Ingenious!

Did he ever hit a note that was out of place?
I can't think of any..

I am a drummer and I am agree with your comment, every word.

Thnx mate..
That was heavy !
Thanks rssb69
ignore all these people hating on it. i’m basically a drummer on garage band and some of those fills were amazing!!
Thanks for the encouragement. People like to criticize when most of the time they could take that energy and time and create something themselves
@@PianoVersion it’s just another way of perspective it’s people from Australia voting up!
I am totally agree with you.
Sounds simple however the beat is nothing without the groove! Bonham hit the pocket and grooved on every recording.
from 2:50 and on that shit ain't simple...pretty freakin awesome though

great!!! Thanks a lot

I'm almost borrowing this to make my own song...
This sounds awesome!! Bravo!!! What version of EZ Drummer ist it, please? Is it a separate sample pack?

Love it, sounds great, just wondering if you have the midi avaiable . Just starting to learn this song and this would a huge help...Cheers!!!
Idk did this song a long time ago I will have to check
@@PianoVersion thanks.. that would be great
Very cool...
+Rst28 thanks a lot
Welcome. I'm a bassist. Love Bonham. I can appreciate this a lot..
@@RSTI191 Great! I'm glad you can. I actually thought about putting up some bass only tracks eventually. What do you think?
Sure if you know the parts.
Let me know if I can help..
Omg it scared me when it started drumming by its self oof
🤣
Pretty sure John is only playing 8th notes on the hi hat, not 16th, on the original.
ok
Yessir, I do believe you are correct.
Really nice! Which recording of Kashmir are you drumming to? I tried to align this with the album version, to create a template, but the speeds are slightly different. Are you playing to one of Zep's live versions?
I bet you Led Zepp didn't use metronome to record.. that's why it's perfect :) "Humanize factor" .. Despite Bonham being almost god.
Okay. I’ll go out on him and think it isn’t Kashmir. Too fast. Different fills and riff. Nice software though. What is it?
Does this sound like in bloom drums?
Yeah kind of
No, In Bloom is in 4/4 and Kashmir is in 3/4 and 4/4

What is this app’s name?
It’s Ezdrummer
How much bpm is that?
Sorry it took me so long to reply but the BPM is 80
What's app name ? Can i get this app on android ?
It’s ezdrummer and it’s a pro music vst. It’s made to use with a DAW so it’s definitely not made for android.

Eeek!
ok
VERY Simple ..no Breaks ..no Bonham rolls ..for Cheap Production it´s ok (or for a demo)
Did you even watch the whole thing? There are fills later on
Super Repetitive
Have you ever listened to the song? It’s a constant groove for most of them the drums get more interesting towards the end
Who Hasn't Heard Kashmir At Least A Million Times? 😂
That snare is an abomination ,
destroy it
ok
