When my mum was in a good mood, she'd put Belinda on and clean the house. Great memories, also it contributes to how much I live Belinda Carlisle.
I saw her in concert in Atlantic City in 2016. She remarked “Summer Rain” is her very favorite of all the songs she performed. She said it has a distinctive beat unlike all the other songs.

I always admirer how professional singers push through when their voice is a bit off due to sickness. She controlled herself and saved her voice on the high notes and let her back up singers help her through it.

Wow, if you ever seen them in concert, it would probably change your mind! Gina Schock is an amazing g drummer and so funny with her Baltimore accent…. Both Jane Wiedlan and Kathy Valentine are amazing songwriters and have an incredible stage presence, especially Jane!! She’s so quirky ❤ Abs what can you say about Charlotte Caffey: Brilliant songwriter and guitar player!! They are all such animal lovers and donate so much money to charity!!! The Beauty and The Beat is a classic album and finally, they are in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame! ❤

And she agreed. These were dark times for her.

I was a the opening night of this tour a few days before in Peterborough. Take note of how great Eric Pressly's bass playing is. Sadly he's now dead. He was the sole surviving musician from the earlier 'Good Heavens' tour. He could also play fretless beautifully.
I started listening to these songs, because the bass lines were great. Now I'm in love with Belinda Carlisle.

@@tigershoot ohh okay. I see what you're saying. Was this Runaway tour around the end of her superstar solo days? I wasn't alive back then but from what I gather..her first solo album did decent. Mad About You was a hit. Then the Heaven album was huge and she was looking like the next Madonna..but that's where I get confused. It seems like her fame just took a nosedive almost as quickly as it came. Why did this happen? I know Runaway didn't sell huge but it seems a bit crazy for that to derail what looked like a superstar career
@@brandon.lewis. Yes you are correct. It seems she had some falling out with US music execs and so her career in the US nosedived sometime around 1989. Runaway Horses was huge in the UK and this tour marked her high point.
