Loyalty actually isn't their best feat.They are great at what they do-guard estates but they usually only love one member of family,it respects other members to point but truly are one man's dog.They are also aloof and very reserved dogs.I had Sharplaninatz and he's so different from like boxer I owned after him and Staffie that I am in process of getting now.
We have owned 2 and they both have been completely amazing. They have not been a "one person dog" thought. They are more gentle with my kids but they are definitely the family's. They don't like other people (if we are not home they don't like strangers coming near our property) but I have taken one male to a public beach he loved the attention and loved the ocean. It's all in the training.
