A MARRIED couple from Brazil with a 1ft 5" (43cm) height difference have to constantly deal with judgement from members of the public who stare. Elisane is 6ft 9" (2.07 metres) and her husband Francinaldo is 5ft 4" (1.65 metres), but the couple don't see the unusual height difference as an issue and have been happily together for over eight years and married for six. Three years ago their first son Angelo was born, and the couple were over the moon to have started a family. But it hadn't been an easy journey, as Elisane had lost her first pregnancy - and it was particularly difficult when they were told they were expecting twins. Elisane told Truly: "It still hurts, it was my dream to be a mother and for the doctor to tell me that I lost two, that they were twins, I was in despair."

The people who thought it wouldn’t work actually ment to say: they didn’t think he was strong enough to be with a „different“ looking woman and stand over the judgement of others. But obviously he is.
That’s not what they meant. I’ve been in that situation. I’m 5’3 and date taller women 5”8 to 5”10. I could care less about others opinions on it. My girlfriend was the one affected by the social alienation and harsh comments. People don’t like to see things working for others that don’t represent the norm. Love is love only when I comes to the 🏳️🌈 community. Love should just be love regardless.

Obviously their height difference plus the fact men are mostly the same size or taller than their partner is going to attract interest and maybe even the odd smirk, but who cares? If they are happy they shouldn’t care what others think. I am 4’11” and my hubby’s almost 6’4” but I am no longer even aware if people stare or not at our height difference, though I was a little self-conscious when we first started dating many many years ago. When you are totally in love with someone and you are happy as a couple, the rest of the world’s opinion about your relationship ceases to exist.
