Chemotherapy कैंसर के इलाज में एक अहम role play करता है, chemotherapy की मदद से कई early stage cancer को cure किया जा सकता है।
India में ज्यादा तर कैंसर advanced Stages में diagnose हो रहे हैं जिस के treatment में भी chemotherapy एक अहम हिस्सा साबित होती है।

Chemotherapy में आम तौर पर cancer cells को खत्म करने वाली drug को injection के जरिए नसों मैं दिया जाता है और जब हम खून के जरिए chemotherapy देते हैं तो इसके कुछ cycles होते हैं और हर बार मरीज को needle का सामना करना पड़ता है।
लेकिन इन सब को manage करने और मरीज को कम दर्द का सामना करना पड़े इस वजह से हम chemoport का इस्तेमाल करते हैं।

वीडियो में आप देखेंगे के हम ने chemoport के जरिए समझाने की कोशिश की है जिस में एक rubber का pipe होता है जो body की किसी बड़ी खून की बाद में डाला जाता है और chemoport का chamber skin के नीचे fit होता है और इस तरह पूरा set skin के नीचे ही होता है।

इस chemoport के जरिए न सिर्फ आप chemotherapy ले सकते हैं बल्के दूसरी दवाइयां जैसे saline, injections, blood samples और scans में लगने वाली drugs भी ले सकते हैं।

About Dr. Praveen Kammar
Dr Praveen Kammar is a surgical oncologist practicing in the city of Mumbai.
He completed his MCh course in surgical oncology from the reputed Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, one of the premier cancer care centers in the country. He also holds a fellowship in Colorectal surgery from Yopnsei Cancer Centre, Seoul, South Korea. Dr Praveen’s main area of focus is colorectal and GI oncology, Gynecological cancers, minimal access surgeries for abdominal and thoracic malignancies, transanal surgeries, and sphincter-saving surgeries for rectal cancer, cytoreductive surgeries, and HIPEC for advanced abdominal cancers.
