Thanks for your review and recommendation, Nikolaj. I haven't seen "Mississippi Mermaid," but I remember reading something about it a while ago. I don't remember exactly what, but I'm pretty sure the article said that the film has great music and camerawork. "Mississippi Mermaid" was remade in 2001 as "Original Sin," starring Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas. I haven't seen that version either. I also have not read the book upon which these films were based, "Waltz into Darkness" by Cornell Woolrich. I would like to see the French version and will look for it.

Thanks Julie for your positive comment! Yes, it has great music, and truly stunning images. The remake I tried to see once, but I didnt care for that. It didnt have the substance that Mississippi Mermaid has.
