Thamks for mentioning perle thread! Last summer, there seemed to be a shortage of DMC 310 for a month. I was at a local craft store and a person working there told me perle was the same thing. I'm glad I just put my projects on hold and waited for 310 to come back (and then I stocked up on 25 skeins of it for a lifetime supply, lol).
I told my mom that later this week I was going to bobbinate and she asked if that was a real word. I told her it was!

Yeah, honestly they were a little bit of a pill during the filming of this video, but I think they've just been feeling restless. We're going camping this weekend and that always makes them a happy lil bird though!

I don’t recall if you mentioned S-A-L (Stitch-a-longs). I was wondering if there are different kinds of SALs and how they “usually” work. Thx
You're absolutely right! SAL was on my list but I got on such a roll that I forgot to say it during that stage of the video!
SAL can be one of two things: a traditional SAL is just where a bunch of stitchers decide to do a pattern together, keeping each other updated on their progress and providing encouragement and accountability.
These days what we mostly see are "mystery" SALs: where the designer doesn't share all of the design and instead releases it piece by piece, so everyone is discovering the SAL together. An example would be CCS's Winter Wonderland SAL, the first installment of which dropped yesterday!

What about hand dyed fabric or over dyed thread?
I feel like hand dyed is pretty self-explanatory, but overdyed is a pretty good one I missed!
