Hello! One tip for your future esl interviews - if a student insists of having or discussing sensitive topics that might bring back past trauma or whatnot for example: sexual harrassment, abuse, etc...- the answer to that is to be professional. I know it's hard to do so, but in this industry - the student's request should 'always' be respected. You can answer the questions raised by the student or have a short discussion about it then try to move away from the topic by introducing a new one. Hehe
Hi Ma'am! I am also an aspiring applicant to Rarejob and your video caught my attention. I'm so amazed with your communication skills and you have a great and nice speaking voice! And your confidence level is the skill that every applicant needs. I'm a graduate of Elementary Education and was a teacher for 3 years but I don't think I can also show that kind of confidence to my interviewer even if it's through online :( It's just sad that you didn't pass because your confidence and fluency in English are more than enough for you to surpass their qualifications. Rarejob is very keen when it comes to grammar so there's a small chance that I'll pass the interview if ever I tried applying 😔 But it's okay! You're a very intelligent lady so you can still get hired by other ESL companies. And by the way, thank you for sharing your experience with us! You've just made us aspiring applicants to get more nervous in applying to Rarejob! Haha just kidding 😂
Hahaha lols sorry to make you nervous but I suggest you give it a try. Atleast you won't regret it. Pass or Fail, kaya mo yan teach! Best of luck for you ! ❤️

Hi, teacher Eunice. I want you to know that I really admired how you handle this interview. You are so relaxed and calm. The way you express your answers is what I want to learn and apply it to myself also. I always fail during interviews :(, I wish I have that kind of confidence. Very natural and sincere.
Awww thank you for saying that. I actually failed a lot of times too but I never gave up. I watched a lot of videos about interviews too and I practiced a lot hahaha. I recorded the questions and I answer the questions while staring at the mirror para makita ko facial reactions ko. You can try that sis. Failures make us successful in God's perfect time kaya I believe you can do it. Keep thriving sis! ❤️

Kaaapply ko lang din diyan teacher. Don't feel bad. I advise you to apply to other ESL companies where the interviewer is a foreign or native speaker. Okay lang yan teach. Maraming pang paparating na opportrunities. :)

Hello! I noticed that you are good at pronouncing the English words, and you also gave good answers to the questions. My tip for anyone here is that you should take minimal pauses when you don't know the next words to say rather than saying English fillers like uh, uhmm, so, like. I believe this will be a big factor in assessing your fluency as you will be conversing with your students. Hope this helps!
Scheduled to have my interview at 5:30. It is currently 5:56 and still no response. I'm starting to lose hope. Thankfully, I found this video and gave me the encouragement that I needed. This was a very informative and great video ❤ Thank you
Hi, Teacher! Thank you for this video. It helped me a lot. When the interviewer said, "We will send you an email," I immediately thought I failed. I was surprised to see that I passed. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. :D
I am currently interested in applying for RareJob as a tutor. Before stepping in, I am learning about the work setting, nature of the job, benefits, disadvantages, and tips from others' experiences to help me succeed in the application process. I recently came across a helpful video for those interested in applying to this company. The speaker emphasized that the company's evaluators are not focused on the content of what you say, but rather on your coherence, diction, pronunciation, and enunciation. RareJob holds high standards for English speaking, given their clients' needs. Therefore, they value the skills I've mentioned. The speaker also noted that it's best not to try to sound American or adopt an American twang. Instead, aim for a more neutral accent or tone, considering that your students are Japanese. This is because, in contrast to their language and accent, an American twang can make it challenging for them to learn to listen, comprehend, and speak English. Additionally, it's important to present yourself well. Be confident, maintain your composure, speak slowly and clearly, keep your answers short and concise, and avoid filler words. Hope this helps ❤😊
Thank you Ate Eunice for this video. It helped me learn a lot from your experience. I commend you for your heart for the Gospel and boldness to share it. I wish you well and hoping for your continual growth in the knowledge and fear of the Lord and your sanctification.
Ung nasa BOOK A SCHEDULE ka na at ganito pala kadami ang mga tanong..mapapaisip ka kung itutuloy pa ba o hindi dahil kakabahan ka sa dami ng mga tanong.🤣🤣 Thank you for sharing this..appreciate it much!
ill be having my interview tomorrow. so i came across this vid. but when i was having my speaking test. i noticed that Japan is kinda off to talking about politics. so when i was watchng this vid and the moment you talked about faith. i googled about Japan's view about Christianity. and i think its not an open topic for them too. well im a christian and someone being able to talk about one's faith is really a bold move and im amazed. its just an opinion tho. i think with japan's culture its not appropriate to talk about it... but big respect to you girl! thanks for the great vid!
As an English teacher for Asian students for over a decade, I rarely talk about religion with my students for various reasons. The only instance I talk about it is when they introduce the topic first. My advice is to stay away from that topic. Also, bear in mind that students are customers /clients so it would be wiser if you try to answer their questions no matter how sensitive it is, by doing so, it shows maturity and professionalism...you can just give simple answers and change the subject politely. On the whole, I still think that you deserve to pass that interview coz' you can communicate well. I also feel that the interviewer is very unprofessional for being late. I just can't comment on her interview skills since we can't hear her. Good luck on your future endeavor!
When dealing with people overseas, the topics we should avoid are religion and politics. In this case, your students will be mostly Japanese. Most of them have no religion. A few are Buddhists.
The best thing happened was that they heard the word of God. Sana pinaanggap mo Ma'am :D Seemed like nervous, but the confidence was there, maybe next time you can take a at least 5 second to figure out the question and make the base of your very answer. after that elaborate na siya. I'm smiling all throughout the interview.. I pray makapasa para paiganti kita .. hahahahaha God Bless Ma'am :)
Inconsistency on her date of birth is one of the probable causes...ESL teachers, as much as possible should avoid the topics about religion since students may have different beliefs. Depression may not also the best topics to discuss since some interviewers may find it too negative to students' point of view..just focus and stay with some topics that student may benefit from reading books like novels, discussing about their hobbies and interests.
Hi sir! I appreciate your thoughts about my interview. I also love your suggestions and would take note of those for future use. BTW, I wasn't talking about religion but my faith. Though, I still respect your opinion about that.
I don't think evaluators would find depression too negative as a topic. Mental health should be talked about. I just got interviewed today and I passed even though I discussed about depression. The evaluator's job is to assess her basic English skills no matter the topic. :)
This is a great suggestion in doing lessons especially in the case of RareJob since the students are Japanese and the three topics she shared are a no-no in the company, but the question raised during the interview was that (not sure though haha): if you were to share 3 topics/lessons to the world, what would these be and why. The evaluator is just testing the applicant if he/she can come up with 3 topics and reasons for such in a snap of a finger. Thus, to test his/her English skills and thinking. Hehe.
Good job po ate♥️ Thank you for sharing your interview experience, i gain alot of insights, and I admire your courage to speak for God☝️ Im having my interview tomorrow🥹 God bless
Please come back after 7 months, tut! Rarejob fam will be very happy to have you. I also failed my 1st interview and was able to pass on my 2nd so don't give up, I know you can do it 😊😊😊
I like how you handle the interview however don't ever share your thoughts about religion. Kasi para sa mga interviewer this topic is a taboo topic. thats my thoughts lang po. I think what they are looking for is a lively and not too serious. BUT FOR ME, YOU DID really good in this interview.
Thank you for sharing your interview even if you did not make it. I also have an upcoming interview with Rarejob but I don't feel very confident about it. I tend to talk fast hehe. I understand their strictness in grammar and pronunciation. As long as you can get your message across okay na. But you answered really well in my opinion. Very composed. =)
I think the reason why BPO's tend to be more lenient with your English proficiency is because, like you said, you just need to get your point across as fast as humanly possible to get the job done. On the other hand, with ESL jobs, you are trying to get your students to improve their English proficiency. If your skills are lacking, how would that help the student? This is why they have high standards when it comes to their interviews.
@@miragespl Yes, I agree. I passed the interview, though. I am now working as a full-time ESL tutor. =) I have already adapted to an appropriate speaking pace when it comes to teaching.
@@novalicious12 Congratulations! I'm going to be applying for Rarejobs myself next week! Hopefully, my proficiency is enough to be accepted! Haha! How has it been working for them? Is it hard to get students to book your schedules especially when you're new?
@@miragespl The incentives are achievable. Bookings might not be easy at first if you are new but once you get regular students, you'll be fully booked in no time.
I actually passed RJ interview, pero seriously po, you did way better than me. Situational ang question, walang anything about my background or what, and it's almost like a 10-minute interview lang. Currently onboarding, I'm not sure if may chance pa na maligwak.
Muntik na ko madisappoint sa sarili ko but thank you for this video.
I am a religious person too and a Christian, kaso lang usually ESL like those na nag ke cater sa Japanese at Chinese, saka siguro sa ibang work like bpo, usually taboo talaga ang topic na religion. Maybe iwas ka sa topic na yon.Saka poitics at culture ganon.
Miss Eunice, Excellent in the Q&A portion. why not join in a Beauty pageant. you have a good presence of mind. I am a subscriber now. napaka strict naman pala ng company. God bless you.
Hi. About the sensitive question, I think one is the reason why you can't pass the interview..as a teacher for me, you can handle it. You're the one who adjust the situation not the student but answer them in a nice way..just saying
I watched the whole video today, June 1st, 2023. If I were the interviewer, I would fail her due to religious matters. So please don't forget to bring up religion or political issues in job interviews. RED FLAG FLASHING!! The more innovative approach is advocating for a cause, like cancer or environmental awareness and education, or doing good for the community.
Thank you for your comment and suggestions. I do appreciate it but my answers were the first ones that came to my mind so I answered with the best of my knowledge. But you were right, I would make sure to take note of that to my future interviews😊

Although 7 years n ako sa ccenter. Situational dn sakin. Pano daw pag may emergency. Sabi ko i-reschedule n lang etc. Dapat daw ang sagot is priority p dn ang students. Well in my case, ang iniisip ko kasing emergency is tlgang EMERGENCY. Like pano kung hndi makahinga ung anak mo at nabulunan, emergency un dba? Siempre ssbihin mo na may emergency ka. Kaya nga situational eh. Pero failed p dn ako sa interview. Hirap naman pumasa jan. Kelangan ata plastikin mo ung sagot mo.
Mahirap talaga interview sa Rarejob and as you notice the interviewer asked more about sensitive topic since you will be teaching old and professional students there like lawyer, engr and so on.

I failed the interview just awhile ago because of my grammar and pronunciation. Nung nakita ko comments ng nag interview saken, parang iba ata yung narinig niya. Like for example, sinabi kong "alright", yung pagka rinig niya is "right" (minus points pag ganern ,yung tipong mali ang pag gamit mo sa words ng isang context). 😅 Oh baka nag kamali lang talaga ako pag kasabi HAHA sarree naman Talagang lilinawin mo yung mga words na sasabihin mo and the same thing sa pronunciation mo. Yung sa pronunciation ko, may sinabi akong "married" pero in British-English accent ko nasabi 😅 (minus points pag ganito 😟 Try to have English-American pronunciation consistency lang 😊 (hay nako saklap nasanay kase ako haha) Mabait yung nag interview saken hehe 🥰 Siguro mga more or less 9 minutes ata saken then sa bandang huli, she said na wait for an email (which is likely pag ganito, failed ka) Gusto ko mag apply ulit pero after 6 months pa OH NO! 😅

Hehe.
If kayo po tatanungin? what would be your answer po dun sa 3 topics you want to talk about?
Thank you for a very thorough and informative video. Kudos for your time and effort!
I like the smile while you answerimg the question.full of confedence
Thank you manang😍
Good job po ate♥️ Thank you for sharing your interview experience, i gain alot of insights, and I admire your courage to speak for God☝️ Im having my interview tomorrow🥹 God bless
Please come back after 7 months, tut! Rarejob fam will be very happy to have you. I also failed my 1st interview and was able to pass on my 2nd so don't give up, I know you can do it 😊😊😊
Would really want to! Thanks for the invite and encouragement. ☺️ Will do 💪
I like how you handle the interview however don't ever share your thoughts about religion. Kasi para sa mga interviewer this topic is a taboo topic. thats my thoughts lang po. I think what they are looking for is a lively and not too serious. BUT FOR ME, YOU DID really good in this interview.
Congratulations you are able to share the Gospel to the interviewer
..
True sis. Best of luck for you! 💪
God bless....
Wow thank you po. Hahaha
Though physically po, I'm not qualified for pageants hahaha
Hi. About the sensitive question, I think one is the reason why you can't pass the interview..as a teacher for me, you can handle it. You're the one who adjust the situation not the student but answer them in a nice way..just saying
I think you did good and you seemed fit to teach, I don't know about that interviewer.
Wow you have a great communication skills. 👌
Mahirap mga tanungan ah.. I'm impressed 😅
You are actually good in speaking, If there were mistakes I think this is something that can be worked on.. Why oh why
Hehe maybe it wasn't meant for me po hihi
I ❤ your testimony. Praise the Lord! God bless you.
Kakatapos ko lang sa interview. Same here, they will e-mail me after 24 hours. Hopefully 🙏😇 makapasa po. First time ko rin pong mag apply.
Wow that's great for you. Siguro po talagang may mga bagay na hindi para satin that's why but I am thankful for the experience. I am rooting for you though! God Bless your teaching journey! ❤️
sending full support sis
enjoy vlogging, keep in good work bless up
Thank you sis! ❤️
omg i'll be having my interview tomorrow kung di ka pumasa mam, what more ako? Anyways, I really like your diction and how fast you are to formulate answers shanaol huhu
Kaya mo yan teach! 💪
Yes , nakakapagtaka lang talaga kasi para sakin napakagaling mo na teach hehehe pero i think isa sa mga tinignan nila is about your beliefs parang sensitive topic nga talaga un
@@queenieparaiso8516 they are not into fluency po, priority nila ang Accuracy. Dapat tama po ang grammar, like sa Subject-verb agreement, the tenses and also pronunciation
Thank you po.
Sample yung: What if your student is not listening? How will you feel and what can you do to get the attention of the student back to the lesson.
Same thoughts 🤣 Nakapass po ba kayo?
Some Rarejob interviewers don't know how to assess applicants the right way...They don't see the potential of teachers...It's easier to pass an interview with an American interviewer. ..They should have hired you...Goodluck!
hi thank you for sharing this Interview video. I feel you un ibang questions pang Ms. U ahhahahaha
Some of the questions are grammatically incorrect and irrelevant. What does this long interview try to measure?
My thoughts exactly.
Ang galing niyo po teach. Masyadong maraming tanong tapos ganern lang huhu
Ang galing mo mammm mag answer!!💗💗🤗🤗
I will be honest po i applied 3 times basta babae ang instructor most likely very strict pag lalake very chill lang
Hi. I am a Rarejob tutor for 10years now. I think I know in which aspects you failed in the interview. Thanks for trying and sharing yourself. God bless!
which?
About God and Depression topics.
Is it true if the interviewer will say na they will send u an email after 24 hours ibig sabihin failed?
@@teacheremm5248 Yes po. Kasi kung papasa ka they will immediately tell you na pumasa ka so kung sasabihin nila yun sayo na they will send you an email within 24 hours it means fail ka po.
@@lenyoshida8793 not rlly it's not wrong to share about religion and mental health
You may opt to discuss other topics except your faith and religious affiliation. Pero, in fairness to you, you are naturally a conversationalist!
Helpful content! Keep posting! I am also applying for RJ... please count me in!
How did it go po? Hehe
@@eunicetuguinay1526 re apply po :)
Hi! I have the same headphones but it is not working on my laptop? Are you using a pc?
thanks for this...im collecting tips and input for the interview..im planning to schedule it this coming week.. i guess medyo mahigpit lang ang na assign na interviewer mo.. i have watched same kind of video here.. she is obviously nervous pa nga in the start.. the environment is also not suitable and quite .. pero idk she passed naman .. depende siguro sa matatapat ng interviewer.. lalaki or babae ba ang interviewer mo? thanks..
Hndi ako pumasa. Although 7 years n ako sa ccenter.
Situational dn sakin.
Pano daw pag may emergency.
Sabi ko i-reschedule n lang etc.
Dapat daw ang sagot is priority p dn ang students.
Well in my case, ang iniisip ko kasing emergency is tlgang EMERGENCY.
Like pano kung hndi makahinga ung anak mo at nabulunan, emergency un dba?
Siempre ssbihin mo na may emergency ka. Kaya nga situational eh.
Pero failed p dn ako sa interview. Hirap naman pumasa jan.
Kelangan ata plastikin mo ung sagot mo.
Actually ur really good baka d lang sya para syo..
Mahirap talaga interview sa Rarejob and as you notice the interviewer asked more about sensitive topic since you will be teaching old and professional students there like lawyer, engr and so on.
Well, you sound good..yun nga lang naging kalaban talaga ang grammar. pag ako yan baka mas malala hahahahah.
Pang Ms. Universe bes ah. Nice one!
Hahaha nagririgat bes hahahs
I had my interview this morning. I failed as well. Thinking of making a video about my experience since it was a short interview . 🤔
Go teach, baka makatulong sa iba.
I am currently working on my EPT now and after I watched this, WALA NA! Hahaha
bakit po? aspiring ESL here
I love your diction,,it sounds very natural and with American accent.. ❤❤❤,,not like the other videos I watched which were robotics and sounded scripted.. Your communication skill is great, very natural in delivering your thoughts and genuine.❤❤❤
You actually have a great communication skill. I think the reason were the depression and religion. Japanese are not into these topics.
As for the interview as a whole teach, super super super ang GALING. However, Japanese ESL companies prohibit this kind of topics... Please Pm me.. I will refer you to bizmates ❤️
encouraging. and blessing. Go influence your Japanese students and let them get to know Jesus
you have a very good communication skill and you have a very nice voice I hope you pass the interview :)
hi teach have you done speaking test before your interview?
No po teach
Hello, can you share some ideas on how to learn the corrrect accent? thank you
Be neutral po. I suggest you practice reading or speaking in front of a mirror.
I failed the interview just awhile ago because of my grammar and pronunciation. Nung nakita ko comments ng nag interview saken, parang iba ata yung narinig niya. Like for example, sinabi kong "alright", yung pagka rinig niya is "right" (minus points pag ganern ,yung tipong mali ang pag gamit mo sa words ng isang context).
Talagang lilinawin mo yung mga words na sasabihin mo and the same thing sa pronunciation mo.
Yung sa pronunciation ko, may sinabi akong "married" pero in British-English accent ko nasabi 😅 (minus points pag ganito 😟 Try to have English-American pronunciation consistency lang 😊 (hay nako saklap nasanay kase ako haha)
Mabait yung nag interview saken hehe 🥰
Siguro mga more or less 9 minutes ata saken then sa bandang huli, she said na wait for an email (which is likely pag ganito, failed ka)
Gusto ko mag apply ulit pero after 6 months pa OH NO! 😅
Awwts. Ganun siguro talaga teach. Try nalang ulit after 6 months. Maybr it's not for us this time. 💪
Haahah same, I read the comment and I swear I didn't say that I was married for like 8 year hahaah. I said , I was married for like a year. Buset

Hi Eunice. I actually like your answers. If I were the interviewer, I'll give you a chance. Pero okay lang yan! Madami namang ESL companies jan. Pwede bang matanong anong religion nyo po if okay lang? I'm actually a Christian. I also talked about my faith when they asked me the same question :)
Hello Nichole ! Thank you for your insights too. I really appreciate it! BTW, I am a born again Christian. Evangelical to be exact. It's nice to hear from a fellow believer.
