It’s pretty impressive that Guma’s dad actually gave him a chance and said, do it if you can. Most Asian parents (like mine) would instantly shut it down and say stop wasting your life
Since his older brother had already become a pro-gamer, his father knew it was a possible career but also understood better than most how low the chances of succeeding are.
It is believed that asian parents would reject the decision like that but if you are really commited to your decision they would definitely support it. They just dont want you to waste your life by making stupid decisions.
Guma's dad was the one who encouraged Innovation to go pro because he was a Starcraft player himself and recognized his talent for esports. He wasn't as familiar with LoL so they set a deal with Guma before letting him join as a trainee. Guma's siblings have careers in art too which is quite admirable since a lot of parents would rather have their kids be in corporate/law/medicine.
Honestly there’s f1 drivers quarterbacks and other athletes in their mid 30’s early 40’s, as long as he keeps his passion for the game and continues to work age really doesn’t matter that much (yes you slow down.. by mere percentages over a decade)
@@MuhdAmier-iv8prI mean, all t1’ second team members are from the academy and their ages are between 16-18 years old lol. His case is a really special one
Oner achieved challenger at 12th grade and Zeus laugh at him. But still, oner was selected as the star player of T1 and has been dominating the game as their Jungler. Take aways: it is never too late to become the person you always thought you could be. 😎

Faker is 28 years old and still dominating worlds. What a Chad. 🗿

27. Korean age or chinese age is just b.s
28 is super young
I always like Oner's confidence, that's how a jungler should be, always confident and not afraid to take risks.
4:52 Keria struggling with informal speech was so cute lmaoo
Normal Asian parent: Get an A+
Guma's dad:

And now he's a Worlds champion with his name etched on the Summoner's Cup.
Great to see T1 on Knowing Bros, haven’t watched this show in a crazy long time so this was a pleasant surprise
what a great way to know more about the team.
Think about it for a second, there's an alternate reality where Faker never went pro and maybe became a Doctor or a Businessman. Just wild.
Middle schoolers hitting Challenger, meanwhile I'm a gold for life
6:22 Faker: Pro-gamers usually reach the peak of their careers in their late 10s and early 20s mostly.
THANK YOU FOR AMAZING CONTENT , T1 talk is the best
