Lovley jobs there mate! You got some lovley property’s on your rosta! Love it when gardeners can make a straight stripe haha! And on the mower, the stihl would be my guess!
Good vid as always mate! Those gardens looked stunning mate! We use larwnflight mate, they have fan associated collection! Helps a lot! Keep up the good work
Heavy dew is always difficult as the the wet is different to rain, stays on the leaf. Best roller by far is Pro weibang I think 19” would suit your size of lawns. Must have the high lift blade, great finish as it has a fan type unit in the deck, superb in the damp and pretty good in the wet, better than Stihl, Honda and much better than Masport. Heavy machine though.
I quite like the Honda HRD536, but I don’t use the roller version. It does for sure block up a fair bit on damp grass though. I think the chute is just too small. I used to use one of the Kaaz Honda Pro knock offs and that was great. Never had any issues. I’d definitely go back to one of those, or maybe try a Lawnflite, which look very similar.
Hi mate thanks for the comment! I think it’s the massive hump at the back leading into the grass box just a silly design tbh. The grass just can’t get over it! And clumps! I will be looking into these thanks mate!
I ran over a scaffolding connection in very long grass. Fortunately no damage except for the loud clunck and bang which I thought had buggered my mower. I explained to the homeowner about it and she said "oh ok". I've learnt to strim first in very long grass. Tent pegs are another one. Especially when the grandkids pop over and play football with goal. Drives me mad how people don't care about a £1k mower.
John Deere was always my go to brand for mowers. Any mower will struggle with really wet grass though. Went through a few in the 12 years of owning a gardening business.
Yeah! It’s a real shame they don’t make them any more! I have looked into the sabo which is the new deere but they are so expensive thanks for the comment!
Hiya mate thanks for the comment! Yes I will be strongly looking at this mower. Been doing a bit of looking at it and looks good! Only thing I worry about is the speed! But we will see!
@@Grasscutplus Hi mate Yes only one speed but tbh it’s perfectly fast enough and with no vario speed it’s one less thing to go wrong. The Blade Brake Clutch is good too so less time spent re starting after emptying grass box etc 👍
Love the double hello in the beginning😂😂 you do make me laugh haha! The job you did the Scarification on looks amazing boss! I removed the front looked shocking mate so well done bro! Keep up the good work mate! Love the Chanel!
Hahahah yeah completely forgot to edit that out lol 😂😂😂 yeah they front did oook bad but it will do! Looks brill now! Thanks for the support as always mate!
I moved from the same Honda hrd 535 to the Stihl rm655rs for the very same reason, it's wet weather supremacy, as the last quarter of last season and this one up until the last couple of weeks were non stop wet, I don't know what I'd have done without the Stihl, as like a lot of yours, I need to put down stripes too, the Honda is lovely and robust but their deck/bag design just makes it useless in the wet, my Honda is the older version of yours with just one speed, but I'd say the Stihl moves along faster, but it's brilliant in the wet, it's literally never blocked up once, I still have the Honda but it's more of a back up mower now. I've also just got the smaller rear roller Stihl rm545vr too for the smaller gardens, that's unreal in the wet too, and quite nice to use as it's much lighter, it's also variable speed too and it's really quite quick walking pace at full speed too.
Yeah I agree mate! The design for the back is shocking hah! Why they made that hump at the back I don’t know! I will deffo be looking into those. Thanks for the support as always mate!
@@Grasscutplus I think the main problem with the Honda deck is they leave the area where the engine attaches on open, where on the Stihl it has like a plastic shroud over it, I could be wrong but I reckon that helps with the airflow a lot into pushing the grass to the box.
Good video as always mate!!! God you got some lovley gardens there mate! That job you did earlier on in the year looks brill! Wasn’t the front mossy? What did you use?
You won’t regret buying a COBRA RM53SPH there are dam good, they have a large fan under the deck above the blade which pushes the grass into the box. They do a couple different models in that range, but I think that’s the one I use at work. It’s on the slower side but it helps with boxing the grass as well.
Love your videos mate! Good to see you back to the regular uploads mate! On the mower we use Hondas and they are shocking in the wet you are right lol! Try a stihl I’ve seen lots of people rave around them! Keep up the good work!!
On your last garden, do you cut the edges ? Or do they not ask for that to be done ? If a roller isn’t essential then try an Etisa. Brilliant in the wet. Gives a great cut ✂️
Hiya mate thanks for the comment! Hah yes I do indeed strim! I just didn’t film it as it can take me up to an hour to strim it all lol😂😂 and it would be pretty hard to film as the place is big so I’d be constantly moving the cam wasting time! And the roller is essential mate!
Hiya mate thanks for the comment! So normally takes me around 3 hours to strim and cut! On this occasion took me 4 and a half mate. And the people in the back ground where to owners
Lovley gardens those are mate! You made them look lovley! We use masport commercial wouldn’t say it’s the best in the wet tbh mate!! Keep up the good work!
Hi Brad that last job is huge right up my street I’ve got a few big ones like this ideal as weekly and all year round I’ve been looking at battery mowers and I’ve heard good things about the ego you’ve got seems to do a fantastic job and as you’ve said perfect for gardens with tight access as it’s probably super light How much are they and would you recommend Great work buddy awesome video 💚🙌🏼
Yeah I’ve just taken another one on just like this! Weekly as well, like this one! I love my ego mate! I use it more then the Honda now a days mate! Puts grass in the bag better then the Honda dose mate lol😂😂😂 I paid 600 I think that came with a 5amp and a charger. Thanks for the support as always!

I use the kaza mowers from danharm and they have the same issues as the Honda I feel because they have the same engine, but I like the look of the Wierbang mower
I've gone away from rollers, customers actually aren't that bothered, how often do customers actually ask for ther lawn to be rolled? I've just got a stihl RM 4 RTP what is a mulch mower and it's made my life so so much easier.
Depends who your customers are and what they want hah! Some of mine do and some don’t care! Depends hah! But I do have a lot that require stripes! Hence why I need a finishing mower.
@@robertocacciatore-x2r no so it’s the designs of the back mate! The grass shoot at the back has a huge hump and the grass gets stuck at the bottom mate! It can’t get over the hump unless it’s a well maintain grass that’s not wet then it will jump over!
