I've tried them all and Lingodeer is my favorite, I like it mostly because of the way it revisits things spaced out throughout the lessons help me grasp changes in the grammar (and building of more grammar) without it feeling like i'm doing grammar lessons. I also thought it was weird to start with countries, but I think it tied in better as the lessons went, than its initial lesson.
Hi, I'm gonna learn chinese through an application but I'm still confused what application I have to use first. Do you use hellochinese too? If you do, what's the better application to use first between hellochinese and lingodeer? Thank you in advance😊
@@tiarawulandari834 I believe that ABChinesee does have good points about hellochinese's benefits, I personally didn't mind the way it was presented even though it wasn't as easier to start than hellochinese. I had already done yoyochinese's intro to pinyin and Chinese when I started looking at apps. What made the app really pop for me was how the grammar gets added in, even though they have explanations for it, I found the way they went about adding it in slowly and expanding it while adding in new vocabulary just really clicked for me over hellochinese. In their lingodeer plus app (which is a seperate purchase, boo), I found that their games included seeing good and bad grammar, you can also do phrases, like eating food, brushing teeth, verbs and their nouns basically that go together and their tenses. There is so much listening practice that makes me think. I actually like that it doesn't spell everything out immediately, and the organic stretching the mind to think about it first a little helps me learn faster than if its just completely explained first like hellochinese did at the start. I hope this was helpful. I think its more important to just pick one that feels good to you and go with it. The app isn't going to replace getting your hands dirty in extensive reading! which i recommend starting as soon as possible!
I think something that gives lingodeer an edge is it's level with Asian languages as a whole because it's Japanese and Korean courses are some of the best out there. As well as there being some recently added European languages such as ; Russian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Latin America Spanish,. Italian and also they have Vietnamese. Overall the review was great and I enjoy watching your videos but maybe you could check out the Korean course seeing as you are (or where) learning it.
I started learning Japanese on lingo deer and I just loved it personally. Although I now see they have added some things. I think I'll go back for Chinese.
Loved the handwriting video and your diction in general; was 60% leaning towards subscribing after this friendly, non-wheedling intro, then 99% convinced after reading that your name is one character away from 王一博 haha 🤓 A public figure known for his straightforwardness and delivery, among his other 偶像 shenanigans. Enjoying your content and production quality!
at least on lingo deer the scenteces make sense, unlike duolingo which will give you "I COOK THE CHILDREN FOR DINNER" and "CHEESEBURGERS ARE WATCHING ME"
Dude, that song that you said was a meme song - my dad's been playing that for the past year. I was super surprised to hear it but I'm glad I have some context for it, even though I doubt he knows what a meme is. I don't speak chinese (yet) so I have no idea what's going on when it comes to chinese pop culture
The English on the app is written to be as close as possible to the Chinese to make it easier to comprehend it says this in the information about the app.
Hi, Could you make a tutorial explaining the introductions to the English theme explained in lingodeer unfortunately now it is paid. I would really appreciate it :3
@@matiaschinchilla8294 if you still haven’t found the travel phrase book in the app , there’s another app made by the same company specifically made for that travel phrasebook. It’s called travel phrases by lingodeer. It has the exact same thing as lingodeer’s travel phrasebook ( as both are from the same company )
Kind of late, and I dont have my own personal experience to add, but it seems like most people agree that HelloChinese is the best app, including this guy
@@youlovesugarplum np! I've also started using it since then and so far I really enjoy it! It's also (mostly) free so you can give it a try and see how you like it
they went through the all that trouble, even writing, and could not hire a single chinese person to read the damn words? anyone who checks computer generated voices in their own language will notice how off they sound at times. So when learning a foreign language how could you tell if the pronunciation is ok or not if you can't speak it?
wait - your parents taught you pinyin as a native speaker? why do native speakers even need pinyin? they just pick it up as toddlers, right? that's the case for me with cantonese
this is really only helpful for people who already have some chinese background. like they say jiujiu (mom's brother) or baiojie (older female cousin) without using the english definitions so you just end up matching the pinyin. useless

They have a great review system.
How having other languages in the app makes the app better to Chinese students?

Something that I liked just from your review, is that they grouped the characters.

7:15 like in Coming to America "Good Morning My Neighbours" scene :)
I really love this song
This is interesting, on the IOS version it requires you to pay to litreally do anything except the first lesson, is that different on Android?
As an ignorant American, I cheer "HELLO CHINA" everytime I walk into a foreign restaurant
Gracias, muy buena tu vibra.
Thank you for your reviews! very useful staff!
I like your videos, I studied chinese at university for 2 years and now I started practicing again with duolingo and watching a few videos like yours
Thank you for watching! 😁

Same
If you look at the first course, there's literally a lesson called "Mulan" XD
Hey Andrew just curious whats the dictionary you were using? Looks really detailed. Just found your channel and I'm subscribing from the first video.
Why do you have to be so interesting and funny, that you made me watch reviews of four apps, out of which I only have one?!
😅😅🤷♂️

I've noticed that some apps are different across different platforms too 😂 (even like phone version vs iPad version)...

If you read the pinned comment, it's a native Chinese speaker.

Yes it means hello

The little girls voice annoys me so much.

#define mian main
