Whenever we discuss about the Valley, then we must not forget it's significant region called Ladakh. Because they are main victims of all the issues going on in Kashmir. This is the main reason that they are demanding Union Territory status, means they want to separate from the Valley based government. Ladakh importance must be considered whenever we are dealing with the issues of the state J&K....... Thanks RSTV for including Ladakh in your discussion, especially for Mr. Advocate Sir.......!

It was a pleasure to hear all of them. Since there are many who are impressed by Mr. Sai Deepak, I would like to point out that Mr. Rana banerjee is coming from an implementation point of view. Getting a court to pass an order is one thing but the government there to comply would be another task altogether (as we see in sabarimala case, easy to pass judgement but no so easy to implement). He hence mentions "finesse". Mr Sai Deepak & Mr. Pandit on the other hand, are urging to do what is right. Have the courage to do what is right, take a step forward. But then, a bureaucrat lie Mr. banerjee is not what we needed. We thought a leader like modi could do it. A unanimous win would do it. Will the govt deliver?

Mr. Rana banarji was present as a true civil servant, 370 has become a part and parcel of j&k and taking away it abruptly will create a lot of uproar considering the volatility of valley ( it will be much more if it happens under nda government you know what I mean!!) and it will also give an opportunity for the separatist and non state actors to get in and create ruckus, an approach of continuous dilution and phasing out the provision would be a much better solution rather than taking it away completely.

Such coercive arguments by Mr Rana Banerji highlight what made the issue persist for such a long time. Its saddening to know how such ill informed and biased bureaucrats can make country suffer so much. Congress Party is to be blamed for deliberate perversion of constitutional machinery to further their political agenda. Mr Rana was made secretary under UPA-I and now heads the task force on Intelligence Reforms at IDSA (Institute for Defence Studies).

The instrument of accession was unconditional. They didn't sign it to ensure their indigenous identity is intact rather they were facing an existential threat from Pakistan.
Few year later Abdullah convinced Nehru for the special provision.

Repealing article 370 and 35A for the whole of J&K, while creating an autonomous district of Kashmir in the line of Gorkha Hill Council with special features protecting the rights of Kashmiris could be thought off. Efforts to win the heart and mind of people of Kashmir should be done. Greater developmental work, skill development, job creation must be promoted. Greater assimilation of Kashmiri youth to the culture, more involvement of Kashmiri youth in the movie industry, cricket can increase their belongingness. Simply repealing 370 and 35A without countermeasures could be disastrous.

The most important part of the discussion came towards the end. Let's ensure the women right, right of minorities n dalits , aspirations of ladakhi people at the start. Direct hard stance approach may not b so fruitful perhaps. Good to see DIVERSE OPINION which is lacking in some other programs of Rstv in recent times.

Kashmir is a complex issue since 9 October 1947. Why debate before elections? Is govt. Running from their promise of 15 lakh, farmer suicides, NRC of Assam, Babri Masjid, Demonitisation, Rafale . If J.L Nehru didn't abrogate , why you? Although he was the owner!!!

What about Gilgit, Baltistan, Northern Areas, PoK...if J&K Assembly an have 22 seats reserved for them (87 elected + 2 nominated + 22 vacant = 111)then why not Parliament? Why cannot the President of India nominate exiles from those areas and make them MPs.?? All voices have to be represented and heard in the Parliament
