    This has been how the West and even Singapore have been growing their produce. Happy to see Philippines have discovered it through others sharing how they do vertical farming. Let’s eat all our greens people, much less carbs, less meat, & less to no processed foods. We can use healthy foods as medicine. God bless!

    Nice operation, very efficient indeed. Yeah, electricity is a major expense but I think it is worth it to have a controlled environment. I like his plan of pre-selling on fixed dates... smart. Very encouraging, I'd like to see another 100,000 operations just like this one around the world.

    Marami ng nagtatanim using hydroponics system dito sa pinas noon pa pero karamihan ay outdoor. I myself is doing hydroponics farming noon pa hanggang ngayon small scale nga lang. Yan ang system na gamit ko pero outdoor sya sa paggrow ng different varieties of lettuces, pechay, bochoi, ampalaya, zucchini, cucumber, eggplant, bell pepper and tomatoes for personal & family consumption lang. Successfull sya pero ang kalaban lang ng outdoor hydroponics ay yun init during summer at yun mga pest insects tulad ng aphids, white flies, mealybugs and ants. Pero sakin managed ko naman yun mga peste at nakokontrol ko without using pesticides at all. Maganda sana yun indoor tulad ng sa video makokontrol mo yun temperature ng environment ng tanim at wala syadong peste kaya lang magastos sa koryente lalo na if you are growing for personal consumption lang at hindi for business kasi di mo mababawi yun gastos sa koryente.

      @@oldman1111 Hey.. I’ve been doing many different hydroponic grow tests the past 3 summers. I’m actually this winter in Spain for the first time all season and so I am testing hydro growing of both leafy greens (bak Choi and Chinese mustard) and two clone tomato’s from one of this past summers hydro grows. Actually growing one tomato in a substrate mix of beach sand and sawdust all sourced from the finca where I am volunteering at. Using hydro nutrients to feed. I’ve been super interested to know what would be possible during the winter to grow hydroponically in European.

    This is a good skill to be learned coming from both private and public sectors to the private and public schools, this way, it teaches many students to make use of their schools wide, vast garage, land, and auditoriums to Allocate spaces and have them grow their own produce, while funding won't be a problem since the private and public sectors and LGU gives financial support to initiatives of the Department of Education, Agriculture and fisheries in providing the skills as well as making it in the domestic markets and for exports as well. Added skills for students and everyone while it also removes and answers the needs in eradicating hunger. SMEs...

    Ang system niya is best for leafy shallow height greens pag vertical ang system niya which is most leafy greens. The media will depend. Commonly you can use cocopeat (coconut fiber), or rockwool. You would still need nutrients. It's not just plain water. Dapat e filter ang tubig mo, control the pH, EC (Electric Conductivity), and nutrients. Please use good PVC tube plastics. If they're bad quality, residual plastic can be in the water and be poisonous. Possible diseases are root related and some pests, aphids, loopers, caterpillars, etc. Avoid algae build up. Algae attracts pests and disease. Mas maayos pag flood type to promote aeration sa roots. Roots shouldn't always be under water. You can use a timer to flood the roots. Put a fan for aeration. Finally, not all plants require lights for the entire day. If you start at 7am, you can turn it off around 3pm. I hope this helps for any future DIY's. :)

      Poisonous saan, sa halaman ba yung mga plastic residue

    • @earljustin93
      @earljustin93 3 года назад +1

      @@Nathan-cc4gy as plastic is drenched in water, in time it loses its durability. And it breaks down to microplastic. Medyo controversial ang plastic ngayon sa farming especially sa open fields na may mga residue sa soil and microplastics can't been seen to the naked eye or be picked up because they're so tiny. For the sake of this vertical system, buying a sturdy good quality plastic is a good investment. Not all plastics are the same.
