Despite the fact that WW2 ended almost 80 years ago now, there is actually one last surviving leader who appears in Hearts of Iron 4 who is still alive today, and that is Simeon II of Bulgaria.

He is by far my favourite figure in all of WW2. A few fun facts: He is from the Hohenzollern dynasty, just like Wilhelm II (German emperor during WW1). Also at the moment when he was forced to abdicate when the communists took over Romania, he attended the wedding of his cousins, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Also he was so popular after the war, that in 1992 he visited Romania and made a speech from his hotel window, which drew one million people to Bucharest, and the government was so alarmed by this, that they didn't allow him to enter the country anymore

King Michael of Romania being the 2nd and the 3rd being Queen Elizabeth II of the UK. Although she is hard to get you can get her, albeit her portrait is of an older version of herself at the time. Her dogs are her advisors as well if you get her.
