It’s fairly light, the portal is 529 grams, while a dualsense controller is 281 grams, so almost double. it’s not awkward to hold at all even after a while.
Great review and for the most part I agree with your assessment of the ps portal however I gotta push back a lil bit on the hotspot part.... So I recently had my house catch fire and currently living in a suite where my PS5 can't connect to the internet so I have to use my hotspot. Recently picked up a portal from best buy, went back to the suite to hook it up. My ps5/portal connected to hotspot has been ok not great. But it has been playable despite being stressed. I feel once I get back home and connect my ps5 up to my fiber and my hotspot for the ps portal I imagine the experience will be great. My apologies for the long txt and I hope I made sense.
Sorry to hear about your home, hope everyone is okay but during these times it’s nice to have our gadgets to relieve the stress. And yes I agree with your hotspot feedback. After posting this video all of a sudden our hotspot started working so you’re right it is not the best but it does work!
I’ve had mine for at least two weeks and I have to say that I haven’t been able to figure out how to keep my ps5 in rest mode while my tv is off but the plus side is that it has a better connection then when I use the ps remote app and my iPad and one of my dual sense controllers seems that the latency with the app is not as great when I’m 5 ft away from the console and my router I also use the Ps pulse explorer ear buds and the sound is fantastic
Hi there! Just wanted to clarify, the PS5 will turn on every time you use the Portal. In my experience, it stays on and it isn’t in rest mode but you can turn the tv off and it won’t interrupt your signal to the Portal. Hope this makes sense! 😊
@@PaulaMads ok that is a huge plus for one. But imagine some granny or granpa buying it for their grand son thinking its a full console and the kid cant do sht with it that sucks from sony ngl

Love this thing!
It’s pretty handy!
I love the portal on occasion 😊
We’ve been using it a lot more, and we’re really liking it!
So its basically a slightly better wii u?
A controller with a screen in it while actually useless by itself
Yes, that’s what I was thinking too. Turns out hotspot does work though!!
