The funny thing is that the McGuire clip without any context makes him look like the bully. Flash is just sitting there, paying no attention to Peter, eating his lunch and then suddenly gets a tray dumped on him.

We see many instances of this in the comics but I believe canonically there ARE people who know or have an inkling anyway by eventually piecing 2 and 2 together, but they are all chill about it knowing how cool Spiderman is.
This version of Flash eventually becomes a fanboy and probably vowed to himself to help keep the identity a secret. Heck, even in the Raimi second movie, the passengers on the train all promised to keep Peter’s identity a secret.
All in all, some people know, but didn’t care all too much.

@duke1281yeah but she does say a little bit later when they are talking in their backyards that he kind of freaked them all out. Which is a little unfair to me because Flash was throwing some real haymakers at him.
He sent a much bigger guy flying across the corridor with just one punch. That kind of thing doesn't happen in real life. She's just trying to figure out what's going on, especially since they know Peter as this nerdy, non-masculine guy.

Then gets upset with some who's using the gym for its intended purpose and then falsely blames him for doing something on purpose which he clearly didn't do.

Tobey's spiderman was the most authentic. He felt so real and human despite everything. Of course it's at times incredibly depressing. Like real life
He was horrible. Peter Parker, knowing he was Spiderman and that his enemies would go after his friends of he was found out, did everything possible to divorce his persona from Spiderman. This Peter did not.
