Super Sir. I have personally experienced the power of manthra chanting and it's frequencies effect on human body. One of our known purohits suggested to chant "BHAM" to get rid of Gastric trouble. I just ridiculed first, but thought of trying it. After couple of chants, to my surprise, I got relief as if I was not having any such problem. I understood the frequency of the waves created by chanting the mantra have an effect on curing the gastric problem.

Sir, That's a great attempt. Appreciate your efforts! However, I am still wondering if a human voice could emit tones greater than 14 kHz, although it's very rich in harmonics. And I believe the reason we are seeing higher frequency content in the recordings shown in the video is because those are "recordings" (I mean, human voice has to go into computer only through some form of codecs but not in 'raw' format). Please correct me if I am wrong.

Sir "senno devi rabhistayaaa" mantra swara is different in two different auidos.(one is following yajurveda swara and the other is following rig veda swara).This mantra is also present in athrvana veda. Why don't you compare that also into consideration???. I appreciate and love the fact that you made an effort to analyze the frequency spectrum of Vedas and mantras. There are some biases that I would like to point out in the current analysis, 1) Spectral power density is dependent on the person singing it. 2) The sampling frequency and other hardware, sampling rate, and analysis factors and parameters. A simple example is a female singing (100 to 500+hz) has power values higher at higher frequencies compared to a male (65 to 25 Hz) . (Again, it depends on the recording and other factors as I mentioned earlier). Also, please note that the higher frequency power is noise and the voice is actually in the lower frequencies. Hence, merely looking at the maximum frequency in the spectra does not give any information. What you should be looking at is a spectrogram comparison for the same mantra sung by different singers. We might get some information from the harmonics data. Though we can see it in these fast fourier transforms in the video, we can see it better on spectrograms. I would like to mention that, the frequencies generated are more dependent on the person singing it than the song itself. That's how opera singers singing at resonant frequencies shatter glasses. And that's why MS Subbulakshmi's mantras are more soothing than any other singer's recordings. P.s: I can help you in analyzing the spectrograms, but we should also maintain the recordings of the same mantra across different singers. It will be very interesting to analyze. Thank you.
Dear Mr Sanjay Sharma, I appreciate your efforts in bringing some details in your message. There are few points that I would like to bring to your notice. 1. You claim that higher frequencies is noice. What kind of noice is that? Is it introduced or the hardware noice? If it is hardware noice then it should be equal in all the signals at all the higher frequencies. Whereas we did not see that. What you consider as noice at higher frequencies is produced by every person who just speaks normal language. But the intensities and frequencies different. The intensity and frequency above 18 Khz are important for this discussion. 2. The second point is about frequencies. Each person's voice is recognized separately because of "Timber" or the harmonic content. This you could see in two person's chanting the same Mantra having similar outputs but with different harmonic content. If you have to say a word in any language, the same frequencies are emitted but for each person the Timber differs. This makes the voice different. 3. You are welcome to analyze the content. What I suggest is that you approach two or three priests and record the same Mantra and Sahasra Naama with the same recording device under similar conditions and then analyze them. General high-quality sound recordings are at 44kHz sampling rate. As per Nyquest theorem in signal processing the frequencies you see on x axis are half the recording rate. I.e., if you record at 44kHz you will see frequencies upto 22 kHz on that x axis. And this is irrespective of who is singing it or what is being sung. I am sorry to contradict but Yes the power values at higher frequencies are due to 'noise' (mostly electronic), and the signal is only in the lower frequencies. You can verify by applying a low pass filter till 500Hz . This removes all your higher frequencies, and I am sure you will still hear the same song or voice, with may be slightly lesser quality. You can verify this with MATLAB or with any audio processing tools you have. You can also try an equilizer for this. 2) Yes timber is a more abstract definition of the human perception of quality of sound. You may also verify this that it eventually boils down to the frequency changes across different persons voices. 3) I would love to, unfortunately in the current circumstances and the place where I live it's not possible. However, as I mentioned earlier, I would be more than happy to collaborate with you. Thank you.

Hello Sir, Namaskaram, What I noticed here is that sahasranamam (names of Gods/Devatas) end soon with no extensions and voice involved pauses. Also, they do not require any pronunciation rules. But Vedas are different. Vedas ( for example, when we consider one unit word or syllable/ ) do not end like that. We can notice clearly that they last long and slowly end. They require strict pronunciation rules. They mostly involve extensions or voice involved pauses. This difference is creating an ultrasound hertz frequency difference. Thanks :)

I think, according to our Vedas the sound of "OM" has four quarters/components viz., Para, Pashyanthi, Madhyama and Vykhari. Probably the spectrum denotes the 4th quarter of the Sound-Vak. That means it consists of the elements with different wavelengths. Can u please explain the other three quarters of the sound "OM" in ITS potential form scientifically?

Venkata Chaganti garu, Thank you. For past 2 years I have been doing similar study, but I was stuck at resolution of recording devices and speakers. It started with a personal experience of body pains after listening to, in-person, of vedic chanting for 3 hours and that made me wonder what happened...something in those sound waves shook by physical body (cells etc)...anyway, long story short: I believe, some of these vedic mantras 'could' affect brain too. Would like to explore collaboration with you.

I appreciate and love the fact that you made an effort to analyze the frequency spectrum of Vedas and mantras.
There are some biases that I would like to point out in the current analysis, 1) Spectral power density is dependent on the person singing it. 2) The sampling frequency and other hardware, sampling rate, and analysis factors and parameters.
A simple example is a female singing (100 to 500+hz) has power values higher at higher frequencies compared to a male (65 to 25 Hz) . (Again, it depends on the recording and other factors as I mentioned earlier). Also, please note that the higher frequency power is noise and the voice is actually in the lower frequencies. Hence, merely looking at the maximum frequency in the spectra does not give any information.
What you should be looking at is a spectrogram comparison for the same mantra sung by different singers. We might get some information from the harmonics data. Though we can see it in these fast fourier transforms in the video, we can see it better on spectrograms.
I would like to mention that, the frequencies generated are more dependent on the person singing it than the song itself. That's how opera singers singing at resonant frequencies shatter glasses. And that's why MS Subbulakshmi's mantras are more soothing than any other singer's recordings.
P.s: I can help you in analyzing the spectrograms, but we should also maintain the recordings of the same mantra across different singers. It will be very interesting to analyze.

Dear Mr Sanjay Sharma, I appreciate your efforts in bringing some details in your message. There are few points that I would like to bring to your notice.
1. You claim that higher frequencies is noice. What kind of noice is that? Is it introduced or the hardware noice? If it is hardware noice then it should be equal in all the signals at all the higher frequencies. Whereas we did not see that. What you consider as noice at higher frequencies is produced by every person who just speaks normal language. But the intensities and frequencies different. The intensity and frequency above 18 Khz are important for this discussion.
2. The second point is about frequencies. Each person's voice is recognized separately because of "Timber" or the harmonic content. This you could see in two person's chanting the same Mantra having similar outputs but with different harmonic content. If you have to say a word in any language, the same frequencies are emitted but for each person the Timber differs. This makes the voice different.
3. You are welcome to analyze the content. What I suggest is that you approach two or three priests and record the same Mantra and Sahasra Naama with the same recording device under similar conditions and then analyze them.

1) What ever I stated earlier are not my claims but as per the definitions in signal processing. General high-quality sound recordings are at 44kHz sampling rate. As per Nyquest theorem in signal processing the frequencies you see on x axis are half the recording rate. I.e., if you record at 44kHz you will see frequencies upto 22 kHz on that x axis. And this is irrespective of who is singing it or what is being sung. I am sorry to contradict but Yes the power values at higher frequencies are due to 'noise' (mostly electronic), and the signal is only in the lower frequencies. You can verify by applying a low pass filter till 500Hz . This removes all your higher frequencies, and I am sure you will still hear the same song or voice, with may be slightly lesser quality. You can verify this with MATLAB or with any audio processing tools you have. You can also try an equilizer for this.
2) Yes timber is a more abstract definition of the human perception of quality of sound. You may also verify this that it eventually boils down to the frequency changes across different persons voices.
3) I would love to, unfortunately in the current circumstances and the place where I live it's not possible.

Namaskaram, What I noticed here is that sahasranamam (names of Gods/Devatas) end soon with no extensions and voice involved pauses. Also, they do not require any pronunciation rules. But Vedas are different. Vedas ( for example, when we consider one unit word or syllable/ ) do not end like that. We can notice clearly that they last long and slowly end. They require strict pronunciation rules. They mostly involve extensions or voice involved pauses. This difference is creating an ultrasound hertz frequency difference. Thanks :)

I think, according to our Vedas the sound of "OM" has four quarters/components viz., Para, Pashyanthi, Madhyama and Vykhari. Probably the spectrum denotes the 4th quarter of the Sound-Vak. That means it consists of the elements with different wavelengths. Can u please explain the other three quarters of the sound "OM" in ITS potential form scientifically?
I understand your analysis. But lower frequencies can also destroy virus and bacteria. Below audible range frequencies can also destroy viruses and bacteria. Power of Vishnu Sahasra namam is beyond our consciousness and it's immeasurable!

Intensity on this software will vary based on human tone. We can't measure mantras intensity. However whether this software can't judge power of mantra. So finally it is just time waste process to check on this software

Venkata Chaganti garu, Thank you. For past 2 years I have been doing similar study, but I was stuck at resolution of recording devices and speakers. It started with a personal experience of body pains after listening to, in-person, of vedic chanting for 3 hours and that made me wonder what happened...something in those sound waves shook by physical body (cells etc)...anyway, long story short: I believe, some of these vedic mantras 'could' affect brain too. Would like to explore collaboration with you.

Great analysis Guruvugaru. I doubt if we can capture higher frequencies in recordings. They actually carry very less energy nad our microphones may be missing them. It is better be analyzed while someone is singing the Veda mantras. We look forward for your findimgs andi.
