Beast were one of the big second generation boy groups. They're still around, minus a couple of members, but these days they have their own agency and are called Highlight. They couldn't take the name Beast with them when they left their agency Cube. One of the members, Hyunseung (blonde one), who's now a solo singer called Able, was almost a member of Bigbang, but lost out at the end to Seungri. This is definitely a group you want to put in the OWC, because Beast is legendary.
Oh I've been wanting to check out Beast. I happened across one of the members, Gi Kwang, early this year in an old reality show with Taemin, Eunhyuck from SuJu and Jisung from NCT Dream where they went to L.A. to take dance classes and also teach a class and then I saw him again when he was a judge on Peak Time. He's a great dancer and a funny guy. One of the other members is also friends with Key and Minho from Shinee and I've seen them together on I Live Alone. Glad to finally see them perform!
Thank you for reading to Beast/Highlight. They are absolutely amazing, you should hear the live. They did a killing voice awhile ago that was amazing and really showed off their vocal ability. Yoseob the main vocalist won king of the masked singer 8 times in a row.
Wow! First Infinite and now Beast/Highlight!!!! Love that you are experiencing, and loving, some internationally under appreciated 2nd gen groups. Yoseob, the main vocal, who does the first part of the chorus with the high ending note with the baby face is my second favorite vocal in all of kpop after Onew from SHINee. They were/are part of the big 2nd gen trifecta of SHINee and Infinite and very well known in Korea both as a group and individually, even though when they debuted because the members previously didn't have success in the industry people called them the 'recycled group'. Like CEOs from other companies used to tell their vocal coaches to make their trainees sound like Yoseob. They are now a 4 member group known as Highlight because when they left Cube the company trademarked their original name Beast and wouldn't let the members have it so they renamed themselves when they opened their own agency. Super talented dudes and like Infinite they have a Killing Voice video (that Yoseob absolutely bodies!) I hope you can do more 2nd gen/early 3rd gen groups (SHINee, Infinite, 2PM, VIXX, B.A.P, FTIsland (who are a rock band), etc) The groups themselves are super funny, have great music, and amazing live performers!
I have done quite a bit of SHINee, if it wasn't for SHINee and Jonghyun I would've never done One Week Club, and in December I am dedicating a whole week (usually 21-24 videos) to INFINITE! So that's exciting!
Oh yay!!! Can't wait for December! Not sure what kinds of videos you do for that but I hope you could do one funny compilation of Infinite because they are the funniest group in my opinion.
Usually its a large swath of their music, we do their debut stage and some of their hits, some B sides and on Friday we do a proper guide and also a funny moments, it goes from Monday to Monday as well

I think this was a good call, I've been debating on doing second gen stuff and I think this was a good entry!
