great video, thank you
Nice Report.
There used to be a roundhouse here in Greensboro, right off of Spring Garden but they tore that one down many decades ago, smh....To me that was a piece of history
Wish they would have preserved the Great Northern roundhouse in my hometown. At one time it was almost a full circle with just room at the ends for one inbound and one outbound track. Sadly it was torn down in the mid 1980's.
Pete 913 Hope you don't mind me asking bit which roundhouse would you be referring to? The great northern RR ran through my home town of Quincy as well. But obiously their was no roundhouse their. The nearest one was Wenatchee. I wish I was still their.
Yeah they tore down the one here in Greensboro as well, like many decades ago
Every time I went in the round house I was surprised how many locomotives it could holds and how tall it was at the same time
Have a question- Is NS going to hold another special event like 2012 for putting the Heritage locomotives on display again?
Are the streamlined locomotives going to be displayed again?
What roofing material would the round house been built from when it was originally constructed?
