I don’t understand how the universe can end. The first law we learn in school is. Matter can neither be destroyed or created, so if the universe is going to be pulled apart, then that matter must still be there just unbelievably small. But that’s a awful lot of matter.

If they universe wasnt expanding would that not over populate the universe as we are our planet? so wouldnt mother nature naturally do something to stop this? I always think about time to myself like…say I was born the SAME MOMENT the Big Bang occurred…then say I was going to die tomorrow. Would I say to myself “WOW! That time sure flew by QUICK!”??? When the sun becomes a white dwarf will it still have the gravitational pull to keep the other planets in orbit around it?

It is explained in the video that during that process the Sun loses mass rapidly. So no. The only reason it's having that gravitational pull now is because of it's mass. But we don't actually know if any of this will happen. It's just an educated guess. This process takes millions of years and we only have a few thousand years worth of knowledge. We have yet to observe any of this in real time and our biggest telescopes only show a snapshot of what happened in the past. A picture. You can only deduce so much from pictures. Everything we know at the moment that is taken for granted is by observing what happens at a molecular level. We only assume that this is what will happen that's all. We don't know this for sure.
