I have often wondered how such small helicopters are moved from hangars to the pre-flight service area. Well, we have an explanation. I saw in the background of the footage that golf carts were also showing up. A beautiful thing. I bow my head to your professionalism. And I wish you as many take-offs as landings. Greetings from Poland.
Greetings, thank you very much! The golf carts you see are how some of the other helicopters are moved and this one I'm using has it's own electric motor. I will share it in better detail for you.☺️
@@HeliPilotLeigh Yes, I know, I've already checked the manufacturer's website. I've even reported the technical solutions to my wife.I'm impressed with the idea.
@@HeliPilotLeigh For me, none yet. Unfortunately. I remember perfectly well how ground technicians moved helicopters weighing often 14,000 lbs onto the helipad. Unfortunately, manually, with a lot of leg work. In your case, I am extremely happy with this simple solution. How useful it is.
I would fly from the left when doing vertical reference / longline work, all other single pilot flying was from the right. IFR was a different setup obviously. Enjoy your episodes.
@@edwardlong189 Thank you! And yes if I was always flying this machine just me, then I’d probably fly from the right…but Mike and I fly together so often. Rather than change pedals and headsets, it’s just easier to take my usual seat.
Yes, you have to adjust the arms to meet the crosstubes on the helicopter. But once it's adjusted to position, as long as you continue using it for the same helicopter, it can stay in that configuration. I'll share a video detailing how it works.
Great question! Yes once I've got the helicopter where I want to take off from, I lower the hydolic lift, and drive the tug out from under the helicopter. I'll share a video on how it works.

@@adam9315 What type of helicopter are you wanting to move?

I noticed earlier in the video that you were wearing a lifevest and if you might be flying over water, and then you clarified it. 😀
Hehehe, yup lifevest in the desert...lol Silly
I am a longtime helicopter pilot now very retired and I was wondering why you fly from the left when the PFD is on the right?
Great question! I just shared a 5 minute video on that…lemme see if I can figure out how to link it😊

Does the tug have to match up with specific lift points on the fuselage or does it lift by being connected to the skids?

Do you move the tiger tug before taking off, or are you going straight up to clear it?
