I clicked on this thinking it was a documentary instead I got a ROCKumentary. Extra cool cause this band seems to be unknown by the internet. They absolutely sound of the time period 1984 but they are surprisingly tight, the song writing and playing. Pretty good stuff!

MORE PLEASE. This EP is really good BTW without any context, 8.8/10 first listen. Tight, good songs. I feel like this music was too musical and perhaps why it did not 'commercially succeed'. The music seems older than 1984 and newer at the same time, I can tell this band was full of legit musicians though.

They are indeed a spectacular outfit! They only have one more album entitled “Fight Back!” from 1985 which is also their only full length release. I just recently was lucky enough to find a copy of it from Canada, and I will digitize it as soon as I can. I think the guitarist Rick Dean is one of the best guitarists of the 80s, and it’s a shame that he never recorded anything else after the band broke up (at least as far as I know). The way he plays reminds me a lot of Randy Rush from another forgotten 80s band hailing from Florida called “The Front” who I’d highly recommend!

When I was doing research for this video I came across the Fastbacks, but I haven’t listened to any of their stuff yet! Thanks for the recommendation as I’ll check out that 12” first

@@JacqueBruce0 I never heard of this band but recognized the drummer’s name. Check out the track “Fast Enough”, absolutely amazing. Love all their early stuff.

@@JacqueBruce0Also - Fastbacks guitarist is Kurt Bloch, wonder if he’s related to Al.

@@chrisfurius I wouldn’t be surprised as that connection would explain how Mr. Stuverud joined The Bombardiers on drums. Fruit for thought

@@chrisfurius Kurt is Al's older brother. I was friends of theirs in high school in the '70s, when they started their first band together, The Cheaters.
