Thanks my friend! Yeah, I don't fly Allegiant much, but it's been ages since I flew out of SGF. Despite it being one of my home airports. It's usually too expensive to fly out of there when compared to MCI or TUL. Maybe I need to get on an Allegiant flight out of there .
Hey there! I just noticed Atodos's Flagship support in the description area! He's one of my favorites, too. He seems like a really nice guy, too. I'd recommend others to you, but YT doesn't like that. I can't even send them any links, because I've tried to do that, but when I try to copy and paste the links into the comments, my screen-reading software won't allow it. Bummer!
Probably so. Although where at, I couldn't tell you. I don't keep notes detailed enough for that. Plus, I'm usually to busy watching a TV show on my phone to notice those when I'm filming haha.
To help me get more comfortable with flying, I've been watching these videos, which is helping (I think). Can anyone tell me what the drilling sounds and smoke heard/seen around minute 6 could have been?
First, many people have left comments before stating they have successfully used my videos to help them get more comfortable with flying, so you're on the right track! And second, don't hesitate to ask any questions that if answered will make you feel more comfortable about flying. I'm always happy to answer any questions. And I have answers for both of your questions here. The barking or drilling noise you hear here, is simply the aircraft's PTU or (power transfer unit). Aircraft have multiple independent hydraulic systems. These independent systems ensure that the plane can still be flown should one of them fail. However, when on the ground, and when only one engine is running, a power transfer uint is needed to help control power between the various systems. On Airbus aircraft that PTU is just really loud and obnoxious haha. That drilling sound is just the PTU doing its job. It is normal for it to be that loud and is often joked about because it sounds like someone drilling, or dogs barking. Once the second engine is running, the PTU no longer needs to be used, so the noises it makes disappear as well. The smoke you can see is just extra fuel being burned off as the engine spools up. You can actually hear the moment the combustion chamber really kicks in here at 6:35, which is when the smoke clears. Now, you won't get this on every single start up, and it's actually more common in cold climates, but it's effectively the same thing happening. Either way, both of these things are normal, and if you notice them on your flight, they are nothing to be worried about.
Not very high haha. But, I'll admit, that's mostly just because I don't like flying ULCC's. I'm at that point in my life when I prefer to pay slightly more for a better product. I will say, that Allegiant has never canceled a flight on me, and they've always gotten me from point A to B. Which is way more than I can say for a much newer entrant to the game... Breeze... Haha.
I thought so too. Although each airlines SOP is different and I don't fly Allegiant enough to know if this is their SOP or not. Breeze Airways used to do this when they first began operations.
Ah, you see I don't though. I don't film with GoPros as they're horribly unreliable. I film everything with iPhones and I do it all by hand. How I've gotten so good at it is 8 years of nonstop practice. Thanks for watching guys!
@@sla31 oh really sorry I didn’t know I think I heard form someone somewhere idk maybe roadsofasia but I THOUGHT I heard you did sometimes but most of the time you did by hand. I didn’t know you always did by hand and honestly that’s even MORE impressive so wow props to you for that. Sorry about that bro 😢. Absolutely love the content regardless tho ❤️
@@z90777 no worries my friend. I’ve attempted to use mounts over the years. Various types or setups and they always suffer from the same problems. So it’s virtually all handheld.
I assume you meant pin haha. I'm glad you enjoy the videos my friend, but I'm afraid I can't help with the second. I use the pin feature solely to get channel information out, so my own comments are the only ones I ever pin. That said, I do reply to WAY more comments than any other larger aviation channel, so there's that!
For those wondering, it is the procedure on some airlines to leave the flaps down at 1+F when the temperature exceeds 30°C on the A320 & A330.
Another great video.TKS
Beautiful coastline!
Thank you for these magnificent full flight videos!
Glad you like them my friend!
It is very relaxing watching this , greetings from Benjamin from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
I'm glad you enjoyed it my friend!
Красивый взлёт. 👍
I think this was when 10L at FLL was 'shortened' due to the rain flood they had, the pilot had more flap extended and lifted off early.
Another good flight video man! We get those Allegiant A320s all the time at SGF! 😁✈️

@@sla31 I totally feel you man, it is expensive to fly out of SGF, I haven’t done it since August 2016. I hope to do it again soon. ✈️
SUPER!!! ❤
Smokey startup!
I flew the N220NV and N222Nv and N223NV
🤣🤣 When we have an A 320 in our line we just call him the barker from Hamburg. That hydrolic pumps. 🤣🤣
🤣
Thank you for uploading the video 😊❤ and what is your next flight video?
Well you'll just have to wait until Wednesday to find out haha.
Still same lookin N.W Arkansas and XNA I call the Little Biggin Town
Light turbulences almost during the whole flight !

Yup, he’s been a big supporter of mine at various levels for awhile. He’s a great guy!
Great fly! Does any of your credit cards have annual fee?
Yes, all four of my main cards have annual fees.
Is there a captain announcement before descent and inflight in this video?
Probably so. Although where at, I couldn't tell you. I don't keep notes detailed enough for that. Plus, I'm usually to busy watching a TV show on my phone to notice those when I'm filming haha.

Pushback with the flaps down is quite unusual
I thought so too. Although each airlines SOP is different and I don't fly Allegiant enough to know if this is their SOP or not. Breeze Airways used to do this when they first began operations.
Was that a bumpy landing? It sounded like the actual touch down was like buttter.
It was a little firm. This is a classic example of how the camera makes it look and sound smoother than it was.
How does your hand stay so steady and not hurt during the flight? 💀😭
I think he has a go pro that’s sticks in the plane window.
@@reagankhem9194 ik sometimes he does but other times he hand holds his phone

Bro pilot put the flaps down before pushback lol
Just trimming for takeoff.
Yeah it caught me off guard a bit. Breeze Airways used to do this when they first started operations, but I'd never seen another airline do it.
