I was able to see this exhibit and it really was wonderful. HIs movement back and forth, from figurative image-making to abstraction conveys the subtle underpinnings of this later period of abstract expressionism.

LOL ...actually artist make" mistakes" all the time. Some they eradicate or paint over and others they keep because they add to the over all effect.
