I dont know what it is but as a Mexican American, watching David proudly show off his heritage this season in the show & in interviews just makes me so happy! Hes so unapologetically Mexican which is what I strive to be. Hope to see more of him in another tua season and other future works!

David's mom is the sweetest, most warming person. She really replied "yes, you are my dear" when Justin mentioned how he already felt like part of the family.
That's just 90% of Mexican moms. You show up for meal you are now one of her kids.

Agree, i love watching cooking shows and sometimes the chef are stiff or dont know how to talk while cooking or get intimidated by the camara but she's so sweet and natural, and all the vid I wanted to learn more about the dishes. I'd totally watch her in a show

This video is so wholesome, from the way that David’s parents speak so highly of him, to the way that Justin is so charismatic and friendly towards them and the way that David is so proud of his heritage. It’s so amazing to see things from a different perspective.

Asian and Hispanic cultures are very similar. I'm Asian and my husband is Spanish/Mexican and we have never had any culture clash. Everything that we value is the same and the way we work together is so natural.

What he was saying around 8:30 or so. Yeah, I relate. I loved spending every Sunday at my grandparents for lunch. So many aunts/uncles and cousins would be there. We don’t go as much anymore. It makes me very sad. I hope when I’m older and have a family of my own, I can be hosting a once a week lunch/dinner for family or even friends to come. I want my kids to have that experience.

David is great in his role. You feel the vulnerability of his character, although it is hidden. And as a viewer, you feel compassion for the broken dreams of this super-hero. But the surface that he has built as a strong man is also convincing. Then you find how his trauma little by little transforms into a care for Lila and then for Stanley. Diego seems so real. Amazingly natural transformation through seasons and great work!

I didn’t know there was a Mexican version of ceviche. Ecuadorians and Peruvians are constantly fighting about who invented it 😂 It’s nice no know these kind of things. Perhaps there’s a version of ceviche in each Latin American country 🤷♀️💖
