- In todays Action Figure Unboxing and Review we will be looking at the brand new Mezco one 12 Collective Doctor Doom from Mezco Toyz. This figure retails for around 150 and is shipping now.

UPDATE -- I was going to fix the maget in the shoulder and when i went to repair i was feeling around the tunic itself and the magnet was just over the shoulder part, i slid it back into place -- if anyone thinks they might be missing a magnet inside, theres a good chance it may have slid above or below where you would expect it to be! I hope this helps anyone!
Dude i’m with you all the way i was pissed that my Conan got stained blue from the shirt he came with as well . My fantastic four set had the street sign break out of the package and the flame stand cracked twice along with Invisible woman’s force field effects also cracked on me.
Hey man just got mine . Had the same thing with mine the magnet is SO small I ran a reg strong magnet over tunic found it in the same spot moved it over and holds pretty good not as strong as the one on the other side but thinking of putting one under the tunic for a few days to make that small magnet stronger the only thing I have an issue with is the damn belt doesn’t stay clasped every time I move the torso it pops off . Thinking of putting a a tiny drop of super glue in the hole to keep it from falling off . but yeah man glad to see ur’s worked out but man this is great abit pricey but man I love it . If I was u I whould buy from Mezco again since there pulling bush league BS I’d just go to BBST for now my dude they care about there customers that why they been around for abit ever since the toybiz marvel legends so team brother again great review

@igotagunonme1777 yeah but more or less i don't think the magnet is in the cloak it had to be something blocking the magnetic force - i know cuz my buddy send me a body and the cape stick right to it so its hard to say - i would ask take a chance, im sure yours will be good, if you can get from BBTS or on Prime just incase - you will be 100% ok
I really like Mezco. Their customer service saved me on an Atticus Doom that had a big arm problem. However, I had to drag that out of them. More recently, when a Shadow converted from waitlist, I had to wait 2 months for it to ship. I asked them about 30 days in and they said "we're delayed" ... and again 30 days after that. So, bit of good, bit of bad.
For $150 I think my Mezco collection will live vicariously through your collection. Nice review dude.
I totally agree with mezco quality control. I have similar in their response to issues as well. Only thing that will get their attention is if people boycott their products. Until then, they don't give a f××k about the problems.
Mezco did the same to with the '89 Batman. Told me to wait up to six weeks for a replacement, ensured me it'd be handled in a follow-up months later, then ghosted me and stopped responding. I think I'm finally done with them.
that is crazy, still no reply email for a doom replacement body - i really like the figure might just have to stick a magnet under his tunic or something, hope i can find one thin enough so it don't take away from the look tho

I have been preaching this for years, but Mezco is the absolute worst company out there. They can and have made some ok figures, but mostly it’s junk, but the worst aspect is the people that run the company HATE their customers. I’ve never seen another company out there that hates their customers, like why be a company selling goods if you can’t stand the people you are selling to? Everything you said is 100% correct. Mezco is a joke of a company and someone needs to sue their asses out of existence, it’s a long time coming. They aren’t a company they are criminals.

Love the video as allways!! The figure was well thought out but Mezco is dropping the ball. Seems like the people that come up with the ideas need to go else where to get the figure made. Yea with that much money spent for that and the quality of it should be better. Me i would not buy from them. Great job brother keep up the great videos.
Thanks for watching and yoyr.imput brother- and yeah its hard to get over the expensive price of Mezco figures, back a few years ago you could argue the quality and the amount of accessories is worth it - but these days its getting harder to defend em - speaking on accessories tho - every part of a mezco figure has a huge value on ebay, people literally buy them just to take apart and sell all the bits - might need to make video with that sometime
Im lucky that the only issue i have which really isnt much of one is the belt coming loose but im ok with that. I think mezco is putting out too many figs between all their lines. The skilled workforce isnt their, they push them and the quailty suffers. The people that make these figs probably make $6 a day
I was thining the same thing, just shitting out figure after figure these days, they are so popular now and banking so idk if we qill get those pure quality days back

Man that sucks about the cape wonder if you can hot glue to hold the cape I know super glue is a no go or wonder if u can put a magnet underneath the top like a small rare earth one
just a few days ago i was going to put a tiny magnet in the tunic and when i was feeling around i felt something, it was the 1st magent - and i slid it back to the shoulder and its fixed now -- thank goodness, cuz these guys at mezco still havent messaged me back about it - but yeah, its all good with doom, his knee armor cap poped off but i hit that with some super glue and got it back on there!
@@toy.blocks hey that’s awesome my dude sounds like it wasn’t secured in when u first got it guess u gotta remember u have a loose magnet when u want to take off the cape well that’s good yeah that kinda stuff happens (knee cap armor) sometime the glue they got doesn’t hold well , and u gotta do it yourself sometimes . Glad to hear your Doom is workin out . I got one on the way myself .hopfully I don’t have any issues with it . Knock on wood fingers crossed
Do you think the marvel legends is better?
the first modern marvel legends release is honestly one of the best legends figures in the last 10 years, but this mezco is fire (besides his head sitting so low) -- If I had to choose 1 I go with Mezco for the hands/face options all the spells and everything -- if it was just figure vs figure, it would be tough, the marvel legends cape is plastic so no throne or sitting poses without changing it or getting rid of it ---- and that brings me to my mezco doom cape - I was feeling around the tunic and the little magnet part was just higher next to the neck and i just pushed it back into place and its really awesome! i'm going to make a video update fore anyone that might be on the same boat --- thanks for watching and posting!
I've got 5 Mezcos - John Constantine, the Alien, Atticus Doom 2.0, Death Dealer, and Conan 2.0 (arms locked like yours). I really like them but Mezco as a company are awful to deal with, probably the worst I've ever known so I'm out, I'mma stick to SHF and Medicom from here on.
It is a real shame because I love the look of that DOOM there but just not worth the hassle.
its funny you mention medicom because my buddy and i were talking about them this morning and i remember back a few years ago in the times of the Bank Robber Joker (Heath Ledger) and other movie figures back then were just bad quality in the joints, limbs falling off and such --- but they have improved so much over the last few years, I was talking about trying to get into all of the DC and Marvel stuff because I really love the Hush style figures and even that chonky Superman (i do own that one) --- i stayed away for a long time but that v1 Mando brought me back to em and they are a prime example of how a company can drastically improve in just a few years - could teach mezco a thing to two to be honest -- thanks for watching and the comment

glad mine's cape is just fine though my figure's left hand is super loose, damn
sometimes u can build some inner layers of the peg hole on the hand part with some duracoat varnish, anykind will work but Ultra Matte is a action figure collectors best friend!
@@toy.blocks i think the hole is not the problem on my end sir, is it ok to put varnish on the peg itself to make it bigger?
@BeGoneGeist yeah i tighten ball joints with it often too, u will get residue after moving it but you just peel it off where u see it - the rest is in the cracks and hells it feel like a few joint again - when i apply it i just move the joint after 30mins, it cures fast - never had anything get stuck either, if it gets too right silicone shock oil will make it smooth again

@BeGoneGeist i recently sent a pack there it was 50 in shipping, and thats what i have it set to for the smaller 8 inch throne - thats the only one with international shipping atm and its still very expensive but, its still very nice
After watching this video I cancelled my Mezco orders
theres no doubt they have been sloppy and lazy with all the QC issues coming from there marvel figures - but i have been finding the other stuff from GI JOE, the shadow, pruneface from dick tracey -- have all been very well made (oh and the TMNT set, leo did have stuck hands but thank god i could fix them, that set cost me my kidney) so yeah its weird - i talk about it some in my shadow figure review, it could be that they are hiring multiple factory's and the fact is some just do a terrible jobs while others are killing it -- but yeah with a company this big with figures so costly, collectors shouldn't have to worry about so many problems so often
@@toy.blocks you have the inclination and tenacity to tinker and improve your mezco. I do not share the same inclination. And I am mad that their customer service ignored your request to replace that darn Conan figure. Btw, what is your take on Three Zero? What are the main differences between Three Zero and Mezco?
@@Leonardo_No_Cardio I don't own any Three Zero figures but I heave heard they are good quality specifically the transformers, but have not heard much about the other stuff!
