Shame about the quality in these older commercials. Would’ve been a great time to restore the original footage and have them available in the best quality for the first time
I appreciate that there’s now a better streaming quality for this at the very least. But yes … remastering the source would have been the way to do it. I guess they lost them?
Do You Remember This? I remember when this commercial was airing in 1991, and when I opened the cooler door to select a cool, refreshing Pepsi at my local convenience store .....a recording would play a snippet from this Pepsi jingle.." You got the right one baby! Uh-uh!" every time the cooler door was opened in the Pepsi section.
I love the 4:3 ratio and cinematography. The way the camera pans and zooms. It’s extremely nostalgic. A lot of videos from this era used this similar technique.
I remember that I was five-a-half (I was turned six on December the Ninth) and my mom was pregnant with her second child/my Dad 's fifth child (my middle brother. Although that he is sharing same birthdate like : Elizabeth Clayton " Liz" and Julia Anne Nolan, Trevor Releford , Hunter Steward, Lorenzo Taliaferro, Dominika Mirgová, Riyadh " YoungstaCPT" Roberts [ Emandieh], Hannah Martin ,Max Cave,Paula Kalini,A$AP Bari, Richard Tucker,Holly Mann,Mia Purcell,Nana Kuronoma ,Rebecca Mir, and Ralph Sica).i saw on commercial.he's from my home state (Georgia) in our country (USA).only right.
Smart choice of song, considering that Charles is blind. The lyrics seem to imply that without even looking one can recognise the "right one" by sound, taste and feel, that one can always differentiate Pepsi from the rest
I remember this commercial.❤ I was 13 went it came out.
I’d like a Pepsi while I’m listening to Ray !!😊🎉
I still sing this song to this day. Whenever I put things away in the refrigerator I put my favorite on the 'right side baby'

Exactly. They threw some cheap AI upscaling on these videos, which is disgraceful.

@@hawknet9933Pepsi probably doesn’t have time to find old film reels and remaster them. Nor do they see that as a good way to spend money.
@@SuperTiaanBroalso the sound of the can is annoying
Plus they skip a few seconds ahead when they launch into the chorus right after 0:30 ---a genuine injustice to an indelible work of advertising
We love Pepsi and we love Ray Charles ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

I read somewhere that the people at Coca Cola were banned from saying "Uh-huh" because of this.
