Good call Barcia. Way better press conference. I think we should just let the guys talk to each other and with Daniel Blair. Way better set up.
Monster Energy Supercross guys, this is the best press conference I’ve seen;- because, the camera was running for a while before the official questions started. It gives us a view of what the guys are like, as people, not just mx/sx riders, which is important because it’s easy to slip into a POV of they’re just numbers/riders on a bike in a helmet, which can elicit stupid or disrespectful social media comments. Seeing the 3 guys talking, laughing, being themselves helps show them as actual people, with personality, and being funny and kind, and that, helps I think, to perhaps lessening the disrespectful commenting and builds as cool, funny guys that race mx/sx. A great builder in increasing a personal connection for the fan base, a positive direction for the sport and for AMA, for the whole thing. Very good. Great to see the friendship and kindness between the riders.

I think we can thank DB for some of that energy. He really gets the riders feeling loose.
They do that every week...you can't always hear them but alot of times you can hear some of their conversation before it starts to, but the camera is always on early enough to see them chatting...
Last week Hampshire and kitchen was looking at social media and you could hear Hampshire say "that was in the main" and kitchen was like "omg how did you save that" 🤣🤣🤣

Then BAMAM asking SEXTON the first question!!!! That totally leveled up the press conference from boring and dry to hilarious and entertaining…

First time I've ever wanted Barcia to win. But congrats to Sexton for the win and I love that he's making this points race interesting to the very end. Stoked to see Kenny on the box. Good to see Smith and Deegan on the box together. I'm so proud of Haiden for the way he handled himself while battling Hunter and holding off Thrasher. He's doing so well considering how tight the lap times are these days. The top 10 guys are so close in speed and he's 2nd in points his rookie season. Unreal! Hungry for that East/West Showdown. I can't wait to see the Lawrence bros go head to head.

Yupp, non-bambam version of barcia is tomac/Rc level beast, but on 450s he is just starting to show it.
@@buffmuff6153 he probably is just now looking into the mechanics of his riding and tweaking it.. Amazing how each year we get older we look at ways to do more with less work.. pretty sure the same goes for dirtbikes. I know I have trouble keeping up with people almost 20 years older than myself through the woods... their basic skills and the efficiency makes me look like a schmuck. Experience... only one way to get it.
First 45 seconds of this is absolute gold. That’s 3 guys very passionate about what they do!

the banter between the 450 guys before the press conference was way better than the press conference. i think they should just let the podium guys bench race in front of a microphone and forget about all the boring questions from media.

I'm not a Barcia fan but the dude totally redeemed himself with this interview. Also him riding cleaner, then saying he took someone out this year, looking over at Chase, realizing it was actually him... now that was funny. Even though I totally raged when he took Chase out lol. But then again I'm rooting for Chase so that was a sensitive moment 🥹

Dude everytime David izer or whatever his name is asked a question anybody that's on the podium should do whatever to avoid any questions he asks.. that guy is a nussance to this sport I think.. Great stuff. Clearly these guys had fun and it's great to see them up there acting like normal people and just BSing. The track was by far the BEST of the year. LOVE the speedway tracks and we need more of these types of tracks. Day racing was awesome too!

I’ve been rooting for barcia for the first time in a decade. Love the intensity and backing off the craziness. The dudes been on rails lately though, can’t wait for outdoors

Yep! Think they need two races in ATL with early and one late. One at the speedway and one at the dome. They tried two races at the dome one year but didn’t turn out well because they were only 2 weeks apart. Bring back the dome.
I wish they would just let these guys bench race with live mic’s, especially when they are friendly like these three guys are.

All 3 of the 450 guys were kinda sitting that way too. Smith knows he's fast but he knows he crashes hard a lot and Deegan is still figuring out the professional side of racing, his posture will be different next year lol

IMHO, the 250 can not only learn from the 450 guys on the track, but also in these press conferences. I couldn't help but noticed they looked like they wanted to be anywhere else but there. Sad for us fans. Kudos to the 450 guys, who made it fun. Note: The usual 450 guys are also dull in these press conferences. These conferences need a little work, but don't give up, please.

I ve been sick of seeing guys pissed off over 2nd & 3rd... the vibes & energy of this conference is awesome! Wish Bam, Weege & Blair would just do the MCing moving forward... way more entertaining & interesting without the stupid questions.
Chase and Kenny seem to get along very well. I think Chase has real respect for Ken and it seems Ken also admires Chase.
They're friends off the track but wish death to each other on the track which is completely normal racing behavior .

If you’re unable to see the improvement in Ken this season, you’re not looking at the bigger picture. I believe the stress was getting to him but this year by design there is no stress, if he doesn’t do well, it’s the old slow heavy outdated Suzuki but if he does it’s clearly the rider.
@@Viking380 well that’s the thing. He looks happier and seems to be enjoying himself which is all any of us can ask for. HRC wants a SX title and I’m sure it was a ton of pressure that didn’t make him happy. Some guys (Eli, RC, JC7, Etc) love the pressure and want to be champs. I’m sure Ken did at one time but not now. He would have been champ his first year at HRC before the injury no doubt in my mind. Just hard to see a championship contender like Ken be so happy with a 3rd every now and then. It’s not for me to say it’s right or wrong but I am happy he’s happy whatever that means.

The most troubling thing I heard was when they were talking to each other and mentioned when they were flying home and Kenny said he was flying on "Frontier" ?? Kenny Kenny Kenny......you make more money then that. Sitting on concrete with 2 inches of leg room won't help being sore from race. Ponny up for a real seat on a real airline.
I imagine with the 2 contenders who actually have a chance at winning the title not being on the podium allowed the riders who are fighting for 3,4,5 to have some time chit chatting about being in the fight for top 5 in the championship.... It won't be long and sexton starts taking all the wins next year
